If Stroll didn't want Mer4c to be majority shareholders (ie cancelling tech agreement, and not issuing Merc their second tranche, Merc get a fund to snap up some shares on their behalf and become joint majority holders.

It doesn't matter, private investors are shafted already, down 98% from IPO, and over 50% chance of losing 100% of their investment now.

If you were the Saudi firm, you would want to buy shares at the cheapeest possible rate. If you dilute the market by 40%, ie raisiing £200m when the market cap is £500m, then the share price drops by circa 40%.
That's how dilution works, no amount of nonsense piffle is going to detract from that. You can;t creat all those new shares without the existing shares being worth a WHOLE LOT LESS.
It's either bankruptcy or a huge discount.
