Dexter is a wee Edinburgh rascal alright. Clearly short and now very worried. I would be too if short here as they can announce the full analysis of the core at any time and squeeze anyone silly enough to be short now. I'm expecting a decent upgrade to reserves here (liquids) as the management have described this as the perfect well, couldn't have been better in the recent interview. To bet against that is madness.

Anyone need any more than this after they reached TD:

Guilty plea leads to two-year suspended sentence

A former broker at Novum Securities received a two-year suspended sentence after pleading guilty to insider-trading charges.

In a move that the Financial Conduct Authority will hope provides an incentive for others under investigation to co-operate, Graeme Shelley avoided jail time by admitting to trading 14 stocks using inside information between 2008 and 2010.

His is the second sentence arising out of the largest FCA insider-trading investigation to date, codenamed Operation Tabernula, Latin for “little pub”.

He and his alleged co-conspirator netted profits totalling more than £400,000, enabling him to pay for a Range Rover and a luxury holiday to Oman, Southwark Crown Court heard on Thursday.

Ruby Hamid, for the FCA, told the court that Shelley would meet his co-conspirator, Paul Milsom, a former equities dealer at Legal & General Investment Management, in pubs across the City several times a month to split profits from their insider dealing. Shelley would hand over as much as £50,000 cash a time to Milsom.

Funding news, project updates and financial results all featured in a busier week for the sector.
oil and gas operations Block Energy raised £12mln for new wells Block Energy PLC (LON:BLOE) on Thursday confirmed the close of the bookbuild for its new £12mln placing and has priced the funding at 11p per share.
It is selling 109mln new Block Energy shares at 11p each, a 15% discount to the market price prior to the funding.

The placing will be executed in three tranches and is conditional upon a shareholder vote at a general meeting.
The cash injection will pay for the drilling of up to four new horizontal sidetrack wells to scale up production, the expansion of production facilities to provide capacity for 4,000 to 5,000 barrels of oil per day, and the acquisition
of 3D seismic data.
Additionally, three other wells – not aimed directly at field development – are in the plans. Two will test appraisal targets, and another will be aimed at a 608bn cubic foot gas resource. All the proposed operations are expected within 12 months of the funding.

So... BLOE produced more oil in 6 weeks than #UKOG has done in 3 years, has £13m in the bank and yet is valued at £33m compared to £66m ???????

Block Energy had been planning placing for some time if you care to read last 17th April RNS extract below:

The update will include the scheduled spud date for the sidetracking of West Rustavi's well 38, a neighbour and analogue to well 16aZ, plans for the appraisal of the field's existing gas discoveries, the acquisition of a 3D seismic survey and, a revision of the CPR consequent to the performance of 16aZ"

It would not surprise me if we had our RNS update tomorrow to support this placing.
