I would be interested to know the buy back agreement, are they feeding ABN amro £5-600K a week to keep a lid on pace. The company isn't meant to interfere with a buyback, so does that mean the whole 30m is made available at the start, and Amro are spreading it through to next AGM. It must be some coordinated approach. The price screams out 100k shares a day again.

Think it's at 57p, lets hope Future doesn't follow that one.

You have to question how much BOD buys would make. Theoretically Buy back is a company showing confidence in the companies future, this certainly hasn't appeared to do that even after £206m.

The key words in MONY's results that we haven't heard in Futures for a while is 'Increased revenue', If Future posts anything like stable 0% growth that's going to lift share price.

I punched in some numbers to a DCF model, with a high risk WACC of 12.5% the model priced £4.25 as terminal business collapse

with FCF dropping by 15% per year. On 0%growth and 10% wacc, to get to £4.24 with 94.4 shares, 177m fcf should be 55m. If this is their reality, how low would they take it, If FCF holds up, and buybacks continue they are £8-10 adrift of basic fair value.

I of the opinion a large number of these shorts are exploiting short term AI sentiment, and even more so now they can see the target of ejecting Future from ftse250. This could create a perfect short term capitulation point for them to exit.

Future could buy back 25m shares over the next 3 years for £100m at these prices, even with a slow decrease in profits that would be pocket change. Allowing astute acquisitions to bolster the bottom line. So funds shorting now for long term capitulation fight a possible 26% reduction in share pool, £4 would be £280m market cap. Increasing dividend payments on share count reduction, interest. That's an expensive gamble

I have 3/3/26 as cut off, 4/3/26 announcement, 23/3/26 as implementation.

On buyback rate we'll be at about 94.3m shares, so to be safe around 430m mcap, price needs to be up at £4.50-60

Not sure setting out a strategy , buying back shares, x the divi by 5 and acquiring a fast growing business that starts to address the issues creating the concerns warrants a 60% decrease in Mcap. Results weren't a disaster.

I don't believe they are doing a bad job, 2 weeks ago they addressed shareholders and said they were on track to hit analyst targets. A balanced approach is good, but when 9.5 million shares can be cannabalized at bargain bucket prices then you take your opportunities.

25m already allocated, that will remove 6m, but if prices stay supressed then wipe up the rest available. At 1.7x EBITDA your saving the money you spent on Sheerluxe. Net debt would be around 1.3x still

If there was anything sinister in the background they knew about allocating 30m to buybacks rather than adding it to the divi pot is negligent

It's not as if two weeks consecutive down days was from an overpriced stock. I think they have to break this up,

If it takes a year to sell Go Co, stop Buybacks and build cash, £400m, pay bonds back. probably £160,+ cash in hand, no interest, 140m EBITDA with no interest becomes about 110m, 120p a share net profit, and 150m for special div. £1.60 + and company worth £7.50-10 a share

I looked it up, they first bought end of 23, 5m @£6.25 ish, again oct25 4.8m @£ 6.50, 1m @£5,, 1.25m @£5.15, and 1.2m @ £4.20

Seems they are in at about £5.85-90. Maybe doubling down to accept offer around that figure hope not.

If Future started the process of offloading Go Co now in 9months the share count would be 90m even £400m would be £4.45 a share,the rest would be £140 EBITDA business. selling for £5.85 you would be selling at 1x EBITDA. Give away.

This year the authority on buybacks is maximum 9.6m from AGM to 27 AGM 160k used so far so 9.5m still left. at £100k buys a day, this rate is based on lasting through till next AGM

This business isn't going bust. They updated less than two weeks ago, after 4 months in they are on course for 224m EBITDA and 745 m revenue. If that was total fabrication theyll have to justify it in May not just to us but some financial regulators if it was knowingly misleading the market. It has 175 quality mag, GoCo and Smartbrief .The new chairman was in investment banking for 17years as long as hes not offloading it cheap to his mates he should have an idea how to unlock true value.

They are the smallest market cap in the 250 at the moment by 20m according to LSE table. beginning of Dec they wouldn't have been in the bottom 50 with mcap of £600m, maybe this demotion has completely side swiped them. Not feeding ABN Amro ammunition to catapult them there quicker

It is becoming baffling at these prices why they wouldn't be buying back way more shares per day, even if trying to maintain net debt, at 700000 10 day average volume the have remit to hit over around 175,000 a day, why worry about cash atm.

I would rather see a lowball offer on GoCo say 375m well below market, over £4 a share

If this was financially struggling then 4x earnings may sway some, but this produces cash, has no debt issues . Obvious that the sum of parts is way more than market value. The top 4 investment companies hold in excess of 25% so they could veto any low ball offer. Fidelity doubled their stake Oct 1 after end of year update. price then was 675p then another 1m after results Feb 26, why they would be building such a large position then give it away would be odd

Well done Buyinplants for reading the market, It makes me wonder if the drop was so inevitable however, why you bought at the higher price though.
