While no announcement has been made regarding a specific subsea design contract between Baker Hughes, Navitas Petroleum, and Rockhopper Exploration for the Sea Lion field, publicly available information indicates Navitas has signed agreements for subsea equipment and services. The consortium is progressing toward a final investment decision (FID) for the project.

Pleased Baker Hughes hopefully are involved from the beginning in the planning ,they are world leaders in Waxi oil solutions.

Hope it does not happen, but if a large oiler decided to make a bid for our 35%, how will he calculate his offer, sentiment will come into play, all the easy oil has mainly been discovered and $2 a barrel offer for oil in the ground has gone. the project is at a advanced stage.

I think the share price today has a long way to go before it runs out of steam.

of K as a loan to invest in whatever they chose. They showed me a handful of rare Pokemon cards they had each individually bought, I tell you

I was not impressed. Friday we compared the growth of Rockhopper v Pokemon and Pokemon beat the Roc by a very large margin.

I took it badly when they told me the isa investment's should have been in Pokemon, only answer was you can not put Pokemon into Isa.

Mogger, I'm not surprised you don't want to comment on valuation post FID ~900m shares in issue. ;)

BuzzThomas, How would we compare Rockhopper v Harbour energy? Who would sell their shares now and buy Harbour energy shares with the Roc sale funds? Compare Harbour market cap £3.25 Billion, no of shares on issue 1.43 Billion, with a boatload of debt. Assorted liabilities in the North Sea which they would like to dump.

Compared to Rockhopper Market cap £512.42 Million, Shares on issue after FID 928 Million with little debt, owning 35% of a whole basin. Brand new, a clean sheet, I don't think you can put an accurate value on this at this moment in time.

Anyone choose to swap? Granted, we need to reduce risk, mostly that will disappear after fid. Then my own concerns would be

Waiting for the finer details of the $9.2 million placing to be announced, with the open offer to include an excess application for additional shares. Hope this placing is massively oversubscribed then Sam would have no need to go ahead with the warrants connected to the $25 raise, unless Sam planned it that way, maybe because of the publicity the Roc would achieve.

Any doubters regarding the terms of the placing, it's time to accept it. We are in a good position for a minnow oil company.

Navitas will negotiate a deal that will be beneficial to both sides.

Remember Premiers decision to employ the semi submersible rig Eirik Raude which took part in the oil discoveries of the Isobel & Elain Sites, l can vaguely remember the problems Premier had with this rig ,eventually Premier terminated its contract with the rig owner and a few years later the Eirik Raude was sent to the scrapyard.

Take a look in the financial papers, there are literally thousands of funds who have fund managers whose job it is as to when and where to place their clients funds. At the end of the day he will be judged by his success or failure as to his ability to keep his job. After FID l'm sure fund managers will decide to buy

into Rockhopper with the prospect of 30 years of future dividends, further opportunities possibly bigger than Sea Lion, upward movement in the share price.

Three months after FID when we hear more news of the details of signed contracts, the world will be talking about Sea lion. The Rockhopper gold fever will take off, could be I win the end of year guess as to the price of RH shares. In the words of a brilliant but short post on this board: "No Cold Callers Please".

Observation What If,

If shareholders oversubscribed by say 3.8 times on the placing of the new ordinary share placement, hoping to raise $9.2 million,

will the general meeting scrap the need for the conditional placing of $25 million worth of shares? Saving the need to issue 8.848.539 warrants.

Apart from Sam's Share holding, there are posters, who post on this board who have indicated they own more shares equal to the number held by all of the board apart from Sam.

( the open offer will include an excess application facility to enable shareholders to apply for additional new ordinary shares in excess of their basic entitlements under the open offer.) I expect the $9.2 placing to be oversubscribed, by what percent l don't know.

As l have Rockhopper gold fever my ISA's only hold Rockhopper shares, and l will not be able to top them up until April.

If l held other shares I would trade them to finance the purchase of the new ordinary shares.

Burnwell, do you know what your talking about?. I suggest researching and understanding this company and its RNS's before posting to avoid spreading misinformation.

Unless you are involved in the Firm placement, are a large shareholder (id imagine over 1% as a minimum), or are an isreli institutional investor then you won't be able to partake in the conditional placing..

A circular will be out by no later than the 31 August it will be available to give details of the conditional placing.

Cannacord are reluctant to discuss with individual share holders, as l expected,. Your thoughts on the share issue regarding the shares will be only for Israli institutional investors and large shareholders owning over 1% of the company shares, I don't think so. I don't meet your guess of 1% but l come very close to half of 1%. My guess is, and we will find out soon enough. The $25 Million conditional placing will be offered in blocks of soy £100,000 with the proviso that if you subscribe to the $25 million placing you can not take up the open offer.

Every day Shenandoah will put in excess of 2million dollars into Navitas bank account, 18 months from now they will be in sight of paying of a large part of their debt unless something goes badly wrong.

For Sea lion in 18 months from now, hopefully we are seeing good progress being made.

What are your thoughts if Navitas were to offer a free drill on Isabel on the condition of receiving 65% of the licence?

I will vote yes, intend to buy into the conditional placing, it will push up my average share price a lot.

For those who may feel grieved at the thought of me making a profit on the placing, spare a thought, as to the thoughts of the investors who paid 78pence for their Rockhopper shares and think back to when they could have acquired them for 14PENCE.
