"The premium will slowly reduce over time"
How so?
Round numbers, but assume we currently have NAV in BTC of £5M and a mcap of £175M. Premium to NAV therefore £170M.
Raise £50M gross, say £45M net and invest it all in BTC (they have invested a much lower percentage with each raise so far, but I'm willing to accept they might invest it all going forward now they have cash behind them to pay the PLC costs for a while).
After the placing and the BTC purchase, all other things being equal the NAV in BTC is £50M and the mcap is £225M. Premium to NAV therefore £175M.
The premium from NAV to mcap has INCREASED by the £5M (10%) costs of the fundraise!!!
So precisely how will "the premium slowly reduce over time"?
If you're saying 'because the BTC price will increase', well that may be the case, but it might just as well go down. And if you buy the 'BTC will increase' story, just buy BTC and cut out the middle man! You certainly don't buy an ungeared play (some would say lifestyle business / naked promote) like this!
So again, how / where does this create value? It makes money for the directors and brokers at the expense of you mug punters, but how does it create value for you?
Bigger fool theory writ large.
