We're invested in a company operating in Russia,

This conflict has played a massive role in why the share price has been depressed for the last 3 years.

Although the SP has gone up the former highs will not be tested until we get good news, and any announcement of peace will be a major positive.

Discussing anything is better with facts,

There are ALWAYS two sides to every story,

I don't want to turn this into a war/Ukraine forum but as I've personally sat in the background for the last 3 years waiting for this conflict to end, I've taken the time to educate myself and examine the history from multiple perspectives.

Here is a good video explaining the run up to the conflict over the last couple of decades including why Russia annexed Crimea.

It's roughly 30 minutes long but well worth watching on a miserable Sunday afternoon.

Just to note that Professor Jeffrey Sachs is a Senior UN Advisor and American who has been involved since before the fall of the old Soviet Union.

I think you'll find Russia killed almost 80% of all the German soldiers lost during WW2.

They also liberated many of the death camps including Auschwitz, which to the West's shame didn't invite or acknowledge Russia's sacrifice in achieving this.

Britain had information pointing to what was going on there and did nothing.

Russia also liberated Berlin.

Admittedly the U.S industrial machine supplied Russia with huge levels of food and equipment to enable this to happen but 27 million Russians lost their lives fighting Germany,

The war wasn't won by Britain and the U.S.

We in the West are painted a picture, a narrative with our governments want you to know,

It is not always correct.

I can go on about NATO & Ukraine but I feel I'd be wasting my right thumb!

The South African political environment is not great and the Platinium group metal valuations are depressed at the moment but that will change.

There's value there going forward.

I expect any sale valuation will begin with a 3 per share but it needs an additional party to push to mid 30's

I don't think £35 is unrealistic but we'll have to see if 1 or more additional parties comes into the mix.

I did have a list somewhere of takeovers showing the premiums paid and there is some extraordinary premiums paid but I can't find it now.

Obviously with a company the size of Anglo there's only a handful of companies that can start throwing £40+ Billion about.

"Considering" is the important part! 🤔

They will, they'd never make their best offer 1st time out, they will have probably 2 revised offers under wraps.

The interesting thing will be if someone else shows their hand, say Rio Tinto, then the bids could explode.

Obviously this is just my opinion but I don't believe anything will be considered under £30 a share.

A lot of the time country's are bribed, or should I say promised economic benefits as a sweetener.

I didn't see Sweden or Finland being threatened but each to there own.

NATO expansion into Eastern Europe hasn't benefited Europe, the last thing we need is a war!
