I said it on Monday but to confirm the reports im getting is that Malian army and Russian "contractors" have pushed the rebels back and are in control.

The doom & gloom is well overdone.

It's why I put a load more money in on Monday's fall.

I have heard stories that the Islamist factions are not surrounding the capital and have merely been conducting terrorist attacks to try and starve the capital of fuel, which are failing.

There are resorts that the Malian government forces and Russian contractors are pushing the terrorist groups back and that fuel is flowing freely.

Obviously I am not there so can only go on what im being told but I certainly wouldn't trust 100% what Western news sources are stating.

I agree their average salaries are way below ours, but so are their outgoings, have you looked in our supermarkets recently? Large tubs of butter up £1 or £2 over the last year is but one noticeable increase.

I also believe we have the most expensive electricity in Europe.

Yes Russian prices are going up, they have inflation, a knock on of 4% growth but things like rents and electricity are cheaper even taking into account the reduced earnings in Russia.

Russia have some of the cheapest electricity anywhere in the world, the last time I looked it was a fraction of UK prices....

The Russian economy is different to the UK's.

Their national debt is negligible, there is a much higher level of renters and less credit in Russia.

Where as high interest rates would destroy our economy it is a softer tool to curb inflation in there's.

As Russia is NOT buying U.S $ the exchange rate matters little,

Almost all transactions are carried out in alternative currencies, mostly ruble as they have been excluded from the "swift" system.

People stating that the Russian economy is in trouble yet here in the UK the country is nearly £3 Trillion in debt, that's 3000 Billion for those that do not know!

Our monthly budget deficit grows bigger with each passing month,

And our interests payments on this debt is over £100,000,000,000 a year.... Take that in... INTEREST.

And meanwhile our politicians spaf a load more money to Ukraine.

Russia doesn't want to take Ukraine, if you look at the aims of the SMO it was to demilitarise and denazify the country.

Judging by the fact that there's been at least 3 Ukrainian armies built over the last 3 years and hundreds of videos of people being snatched off the streets to feed the slaughter I'd suggest Russia are succeeding,

And the fact the U.S want out reinforces that assumption.
