Gunsup,
A nice idea but over complicated and little point.
Much rather they keep buying back at the current low rates and give us a special at next results.
Skier,
Peaceful, for who?
It might be peaceful for us but you don't have to look far to see America's trail of death and destruction.
And as for China they HAVEN'T dropped a bomb on ANYONE for over 40 years.
America is constantly complaining about how close a Chinese ship or plane is whilst there in the south China Sea.
There's a reason why the U.S spends more on their military than the next 10 countries put together,
And that is because they threaten, overthrow and bomb any country who they don't like.
Fact.
Anyway I'll let you get back to the BBC.
88,
Not disputing the "good" that America had/has done,
But there are HUGE question marks over what it has done over the last 50+ years, there's lots of stuff which is not in the general public domain.
Let's also not forget how many Russians lost there lives during those two world wars,
Greater than any other nation.
Anyway back to Lloyds!
Hardup,
And whilst we're at it why is America occupying parts if Syria and looting their oil!
Go on fact check it.
America is the world's terrorist state!
Hardup,
Don't want to go off-piste but many if not all of those countries have had U.S / CIA interference.
America, and the UK for that matter is still bombing Syria, America has supplied ISIS/ISIL/Jihad groups with weapons etc to try and overthrow the government there. What gives the U.S the right to do this, Russia is bombing these and others which are trying to take over this once beautiful country.
Over 500,000 civilians have died, and this is a Conservative estimate as a result of the American interference.
Where did much of this carnage originate from, IRAQ,
Another country the U.S (And the UK) bombed the hell out of which result in over a 1,000,000 civilians dying.
Oh and there's many others, like Afghanistan which originally the U.S was supply weapons and cash to the Taliban.
Here's a video worth watching, it only lasts 8.5 mins but it details FACTS much of the population does not know because they believe everything the Daily Mail or the BBC puts out!

Lti,
Putin doesn't need to be removed,
America's obsession with interference in foreign countries needs to stop.
New interview from StockBox
Much of the same to be honest but the links below if you want it!

Ragsrob,
I agree, we are being fed bull.shat,
The sad thing is this once great country is now nothing more than a U.S puppet.
It makes my blood boil when I see poodle Sunak "Cuddling" the U.S stooge.
Margaret Thatcher would be spinning in her grave at what has happened here and that's without us handing millions to the French!....😡
Ragsrob,
"very little reported on the appalling situation from uk media..."
And I wonder why that is?...🤔
Maybe it's got something to do with the fact that many of these drone strikes have been carried out from UK soil.
If you think our media is telling you the full truth on the Yemen, or the Ukraine you are badly mistaken.
Mushrooms spring to mind!
Gazz,
The problem is even when things are signed off it can take a decade to get through planning etc.
We are a perfect country to adopt nuclear energy but unfortunately successive governments have been scared to make that call.
Instead we've wasted Billions on vanity projects that have been doomed to fail.
It's only when we now decide (actually told by the U.S) that we mustn't use Russian gas we start to flap.
And we now just import their products via a third party!
James,
You should take a closer look into whose been carrying out those drone strikes in the Yemen!
And as to the Ukraine civilian casualties, they are on both sides of the population, Russian & Ukrainian.
Maybe America, and the UK for that matter should have considered civilians with the approximate 1,000,000 dead in Iraq, or the 500,000+ dead in Syria to name but 2.
Asperger,
Again a political party burying their heads in the sand and pretending the problem isn't there.
This country already imports a large proportion of its energy, why oh why would you make this worse!
They haven't got a clue.
If someone 20 years ago had properly pushed us down the nuclear path many of today's issues wouldn't exist, but we still need oil regardless.
This country needs a party who puts this country 1st.
Mick,
That figure probably hasn't been helped by the free taxi ride the RNLI provides!
Again regardless of political party NONE have or will enforce a solution.
They'll end up increasing the retirement age (again) to pay for it!
Mick,
It's got nothing to do with Brexit.
They were coming in before and there coming in after.
The issue is none of them have a plan to either reduce it or how to pay for it.
Why are we paying the French hundreds of millions of £ and we're still giving them a lift with the RNLI?
And then we have the t.wat "cuddling" the U.S stoge and supplying him with tax payers money.
#fo.okingdisgrace!
Sunak is more interested in appeasing the Americans than concentrating on the good of this country.
Love her or hate her Margaret Thatcher would be spinning in her grave if she could see what is happening here.
Peggy,
Look at the market today,
Miners have had a kicking....
If you don't like Arcm you could always move one! ;-)
Stagecoach,
True, but if the world is going to go green to the current targets the amount of producing mines will need to increase by 1000%.
Rumours are that all of the Copper mined since man existed will need to be mined again by 2050.
We will see but I have holdings in multiple miners just in case! ;-)
Seany,
Loads of miners out there with arguably a very bright future if ANY of the climate change goals are to be met.
Of the "majors" I like BHP Group as the dividends have been exceptional over the years and if you fancy more of a punt Arc Minerals is worth a look and IMO has a very bright future.
Obviously these are just my opinions!
The trouble with our politicians is that they all SEEM to be trying to do what's NOT best for Britain.
Be that immigration, penalising "middle" Britain, etc etc, regardless of whatever political persuasion!
