It might not be a duster, but WOW what an expensive 40-50bbl/day it is !!! and the reality is that drilling any other wells will take a LONG, LONG time to even break even on the cost of drilling it, assuming they actually find another fracture to drain lol..........

In fairness, I don't see huge risk in buying/adding at this level anyway, they are on the repayment break from Trafigura and banking gains from SLBY & bits from Brockham, though they obviously will need a lot of that to upgrade the well/s and plant at SLBY too, it is possible they may have some leverage to consider other ventures/objectives too.

Not so sure about "playing a blinder" with Brockham Odins, it was a simple workover and so far nothing much has changed in flow rates to haw it was previously at 50bb/d, along with no real effect on SP to boot, o playing a blinder or knowing it is of minimal impact thus being tight lipped until RNS then you choose ;-)

Thus my point that installing new velocity string/s won't change anything unless they also increase plant & storage capacity for liquids (Condy & water),

The nature of Velocity strings means it will increase liquids, the clue is in the name, you don't need velocity strings for dry gas, it is purely to increase the speed the gas travels up the production tubing to surface, and in turn that brings more liquids with it.

The more they flow, the more they will cross the dew point and that induces more liquids, vicious circle of secondary/tertiary recovery, but that is really the only way to go and it requires adjustment to compensate for those changes at surface.

Those recent production figures clearly show they have had one well shut in, likely A4 to limit liquids production, which then on reopening, shows an increased gas production, then daily starts to slope off again as liquids increase to surface.

Really surprised they are not using this window to get the velocity string into well A4 at least... the velocity string will not reduce liquids, it simply brings more liquids up from the production zone of the wellbore and in turn that also increases gas productivity too.

So likely they would need to improve liquids handling at the plant and storage along with the velocity string being installed.

The system and how both sides work it is designed to be tough for TRUE transparency, we only see what they want us to see, but they ALL keep booking huge profits lol.

As an example, Silverstone always claim they make nothing from the F1 event, BUT they cunningly worked out that to sell earlybird tickets/priority tickets should be done IF you take Silverstone club membership out at £140 a pop, which isn't actually part of the classified F1 event revenue, likely netting Silverstone an additional £5m a year.

It is just one example of working the books in a way that officially it looks like they make little but actually the greater company makes a fortune.

ZX, I know the supply side to production side for "some" of the companies is a "different" entity, but they are in reality the same, and I know ofgem set the bar, but that does not detract from it amounting to around £7.5 billion a year that is deemed not associated to the gas or electric being used.

As for the 30 odd companies that failed, and for the recovery of lost monies through bad customer debt, well sorry, but that is not for joe public to make up the difference, it is their failing and should land at their feet.
