Too much speculating can cause misery for either the dreamer or the doom monger - though the latter are usually happier with a bit of misery around them.

Once the news hits we will either go up or down.

Of course my glass half full attitude wishes for the former. We have to remember that our major along with the other majors and others had been looking at our data room for a long time before they decided to go it alone. The data room was available to all so all the companies who have crossed that threshold have a good idea of the structures beneath the seabed.

Our major is obviously interested which is why Macquarie were appointed.

Initially the major thought the deal could be done within the 3 month period but added a bit of slippage with the addition of three separate months to finalise negotiations one way or another. Whilst we have a week left before the notification of the use of the next slippage month it is certainly not beyond the realms of possibility that a decision has been made. Positive or negative - no guarantees either way.

Volume today seems pretty low though SP appears to be holding well - I personally look forward to seeing how the week ends.

IF there is a consolidation it would perhaps make the share more attractive to the institutional investors as I am unsure they particularly care too much for AIM penny shares - face value remains the same anyway - at time of consolidation of course.

Looking at the other shares deemed as though they could rocket - sadly none of them did.

That is similar speak as to the several who stated there was no reason for the rise above 3p when the possibility of the deal was announced.

Sentiment can be a killer.

...not any big sells to be frank. Plenty of them of course but nothing to put the frighteners on.

Not a particularly large volume day either.

This may drift further of course, but I do think there have been some shenanigans with the spread and even stop losses.

It does not surprise me that people wanted to bank a profit, common sense of course. Sadly been at work today and not in a position to play around but still happy with my lump. Been in best part of 10 years, another year or two would not make a great deal of difference.

My personal opinion of the meeting is that it was perhaps to subdue the masses and leave a lot of ambiguity instead of the company having to revert to an RNS to quell the rumour mill.

As for an earlier poster suggesting a sell off - we had less than 3 million reported sales vs a million reported buys. The price drop was fairly minimal with so many doom mongers about at the moment.

The price may drop further but who is to say it may not rise. I do not see this as a time to panic. Malcy was fed what the company wanted = nothing. Not sure who wanted to have the meeting - Malcy or BPC.

We have until October to either energise or demoralise those on the boards.

Eytan is a good speaker/presenter too so I would prefer any Malky meeting to be with him anyway. Doesn't seem to flap and his background record makes for good reading too. BPC have actually got a decent set up of people.

The website was historically always outdated and rarely updated. The company under the reign of Alikhani and Borrelli has always promised great things only for both of them to have seemingly been allowed to play us all for mugs.

keith - agreed - however, you know people will see his words and act upon them. It depends upon how his report is interpreted. He can put a very positive or negative slant on facts.

Given the confidence of the Moyes report and 3D seismic,, and the fact this mysterious suitor has managed to keep the lid on talks and extended for another month, in the knowledge that as I had earlier posted an unknown number of other MAJOR oil companies were ready to sit around the table prior to the surprising development of exclusivity.

As you will know the market is a fickle place and often prices are moved by sentiment - the current sentiment is positive - we will see post the Malcy interview whether that remains of course. So whilst sentiment is high presently why do you think we should be at 3p?

Think I read somewhere the interview is not with Simon Potter but with the knowledgeable presenter lad whose name escapes me.

Moon - whilst ramping is not good - neither is shouting BLOOD/SELL.

There is some truth in the fact that there is a suitor paying a small amount of cash to keep other suitors out of the equation.

There is truth in the fact that Moyes & Co a well respected name in the industry stating that the chances of discovering oil is on the higher end of such plays.

There is truth in the fact that Macquarie have come aboard to assist in the dealings between the company and the suitor.

There is also truth that the 3D seismic readings have shown multi billion barrels of oil POTENTIAL.

So there is a lot of positives to shout about though as we know BPC is a High Risk investment there are no real negatives to be seen - only the fact it is a standard High Risk investment rather than additional risks such as unstable government, warring factions etc.

Dutch - it his articles are anything like Tom Bulford's RHPS back in the day then perhaps there will be a spike once his subscribers get wind of his update.

Less than 1.25m sold vs bought on LSE and just under .5mil more bought on NEX than sold.
