RE: SP7 Aug 2018 23:47
sarup63 - the daft questions are the one we do not ask.
There are many thoughts on how it will play out with BPC - having read through today's posts you will have noticed there is talk on price - on spudding a well - on agreeing a farm out/farm in - takeover.
Presently all answers are pure speculation. This is because there are too many unknowns.
Whilst 10 years or so ago the SP hit heights of over 20pps however, there were far less shares in issue. However, at that time there was no 'pre-nup' type agreement that we have currently.
Our seismic data was only 2d I believe - today it is 3d. The company have spent a lot more on evaluating the licence areas and have had a data room where prospective partners have been able to visit to assess for themselves what the licence areas have to offer.
So today we are nearing the end of the first working week of the first of three potential additional months of exclusive talks with our mysterious major. We could end up waiting until October to ascertain whether we remain in our exclusive talks. That would be quite timely as hurricaine season officially lasts until end of November at which time drilling season may commence.
We are all in the dark, most of us have our dream exit price, some may be 15 to 18p, others 30 to 50p whilst others may sell a chunk and await the results of the drill tip puncturing the crust to see if we actually have oil in our licence areas.
I would like to think we have of course.
