The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Thanks for that MrBlue. Something else I didn't know. I was blown away recently to hear that the number of people wandering about on Planet Earth today was about equal to the number of people who had died throughout our past. Shows how we've multiplied in recent decades and are now ripe for a viral culling.
Re COPD trials, as they're only testing COPD sufferers with viral complications a success will only underline Covid trial as well as showing effectiveness against other viruses. SNG001 seems the best way to go versus a vaccine from my perspective on Coronavirus. It's simpler and makes total sense.
Ditto. Great videos with comprehensive explanations for laymen. Sadly, for him, he's also the spitting image of me. Same shirts too. I don't own a fountain pen however.....nor, as my brothers have pointed out, a tidy background. Only thing that persuaded them it wasn't a spoof by myself.
I'd rather be poorer and have access to SNG001 via the NHS than richer and watch another country have exclusivity to SNG001. Umpteen licenses across the world makes more sense to me, otherwise it [or a successful vaccine] can be weoponised by politicians.
It's not the virus that kills you but your own immune system going into meltdown trying to deal with it. Losing it's ability to produce interferon means it has to depend on it's other resources and magnify their intensity. This is why I think this is a far simpler solution to the problem. Just send in the interferon reinforcements to the area most under attack which is also the primary cause of death. I think heart failure from body stress is a close second. No medical training, just what I've gleaned from the info out there. I also have a hypochondriac brother who's a fantastic source of medical knowledge as he's suspected he's had most of the world's diseases during Life's journey lol. Surprisingly ....still going strong.
I far prefer this simpler path to tackling Covid 19. No introduction of a genetically modified vaccine into the body, just send the immune system reinforcements to where they're most needed. But if SNG001 helps Trump get re-elected, that's far too big a price to pay.....imo.
Shandy. I was posting as an investor who'd rather see it play out longer. I agree that a sale now would be a bargain for the buyer but it's just not for me [as a small fraction of the seller].
I disagree. It's too early in the company's and products development to sell. Skinny Tan will be making progress in the current market against it's larger competitors thanks to our DTC. Nuthing has been launched at the worst [unforeseen] possible time but has the potential of equaling or overtaking Skinny Tan sales, given time. Our main market currently is UK but overseas market successes could dramatically boost annual revenues especially when paired with our DTC platforms in those countries. Charles and Lee range is another potential big hitter. Roots has been a disappointment so far but is being remarketed. The same is true with their Life Science projects. This year's results will be measured by our losses compared to competitors' losses and I believe we'll come out ahead....again through online selling capability during world-wide retail shrinkage, whilst, at the same time, gradually gaining market share. When the **** hits the fan some smaller, well set up companies fare a lot better than the larger, traditional ones. Good innovative [and demonstrated ability to swerve around unexpected market changes] management, great products alongside a developed DTC outlet will show good investment decisions.....assuming the planet keeps turning.
PZ Cussons complained in their end of year report that St Tropez was losing traction in the UK due to new competition in the market whilst IDP showed growth in Skinny Tan sales of which 50% of sales were through DTC. Good news for IDP and DTC imo.
.....and we're not even on AIM.
I remember buying some at £3.80 [still got them] and it bounced a few times off £4. Did get slightly over £4 for a short while but tempted too many sellers.
Except, not on Aim.
Ha NMH19. I remember Napier and Stevensons Colleges in Edinburgh merging into the Scottish Higher Institute of Technology. Then they decided not. Now Napier University.
Revenue and profit increase year on year. You're the one who it seems can never recover.
ADUK. I've been oilfield trash too but that doesn't mean you can't be refined at the same time. The same went for building and roofing in more recent years. Unnerving to some I expect !!
Thanks Albi1 but I can still manage to follow a thread. I've had a few spats with ADUK myself over the years but just wanted to mention that his post (to SOtB) was a bit OTT. Manners are important.
Apologies. I'd missed the "lighter than oil" bit as I knew what he was trying to say, but it was still an unnecessary and insulting response.
Hardly a howler by SOtB. He said you reduce the hydrostatic pressure by spotting diesel in the tubing the same as you did. His version was just short and sweet.
My apologies....I hadn't realised there was an old wound to be opened. I enjoyed Ricfle's sharp witted posts over the years whilst questioning everything that came up. Been out of HUR for a while but now [or 4 weeks ago] I bought back in .... in anticipation of a good Lincoln result.
ADUK. Wasn't this what Highlander kept banging on [and on and on and on] about 3 years ago....before he spontaneously combusted and reappeared with a new name [or two] before disappearing for good? Did he end up inside you??
.....and what the hell have you lot done to Ricfle?????
