Yes, it's good to see a nice SP rise for all holders. It's seemingly driven by the Bolsa (up 24% as I type).

As far as I understand, the land question relates to an access road redirected without the appropriate permissions. It's these sort of issues that would have benefited from some more detail in the quarterly report.

The Reuters report relates to the Urbanisation Permit. The tenements are parcels of land which have been bought/ intend to be bought by BKY.

I remember speaking to Sean Wade about the outstanding tenements back in September and he assured me that none were critical in any way to the project. They were just areas that BKY would like to explore in future.

If WSBN can make a success in improving the safety and regulations applied to these artisanal mines in Honduras, this would put them in a strong position to advance their model to other countries with similar operations.

They are doing the work which many goverments don't have the resources to do in improving safety and regulation as well as reducing the polluting effect from processing.

It's a business model I really like and could pay off handsomely in months and years to come if similar projects to Honduras are unveiled.

IMHO this report is rather light on the level of detail we would have been hoping for.

Thanks NigWit, enjoyed yor input at BKY as well. I agree that it's best avoided for now; you think BUR has had a bumpy ride!! I've been looking at shares which should survive any economic downturn and BUR fits the bill well. It may well thrive. From the BKY proceeds I've invested in YCA as the case for Uranium is still intact and had a speculative gold play with WSBN, though the latter definitely needs an exit strategy. I'll be watching closely here and there's a good chance I'll buy in at some point. Well done with your investment here and long may your success continue.

Another positive outlook from the press recently for BUR. I'm a fellow refugee from BKY as NigWit will know, and this share, along with Begbies, remains firmly on the watchlist. Not since maybe September last year. He was very candid that the project could face further delays at that time to be fair and did not hide the potential political risk going forward. A politely worded e-mail to BKY may get an invitation to give him a call.

@shamshep this is what I meant by approval, taken from the Reuters report. I'm sure there will be some clarification in the quarterly report from BKY.

"Following the endorsement of the nuclear safety studies, Berkeley still needs a broader go-ahead from the watchdog, CSN, as well as further approvals by the local, regional and national governments before it can begin work.

“The CSN has approved the two studies,” the source said, adding that a formal announcement was expected next week".

I should also make disclosure that I sold all my shareholdings here on Monday. I initially bought in in Sep 16 and was sitting on an 83% loss over the festive period. I topped up at 8p and the result was that within two weeks that loss had turned into a (very) modest profit. I feel that I had seriously underestimated the political risk here and that the SP will continue to be affected by wild fluctuation on rumours and whispers.

The fundamentals which attracted me to invest are still intact: strong cash position, low cost operation and a highly competent management team. It's still an exciting project, but risky. I may consider re-investing in future.

I would sincerely like to wish all on the board all the very best with BKY and would be genuinely delighted to see this project come to fruition.

The December Quarterly Report should be out by the end of this month. It will be interesting to see an update on recent events for sure, but I feel that the board may be limited on what they can say.

The approval from the CSN was only at a preliminary level and there are many more hurdles to be overcome, though the approval was undoubtedly encouraging.

SP currently trading at a 12.9% discount to NAV. Looks good value at the moment.

Here's some news today from Spain which seems to indicate the CSN rumours may be true. We'll find out on Monday hopefully with official confirmation from BKY. The approval seems to have been known for some tlme, but not given officially to the company, according to this report. GLA "On Friday the company launched a statement that was perceived by the market as a denial. However, after the closing of the stock exchanges, the institution responsible for ensuring nuclear safety has released information that points out that the information on Thursday was correct. However, in a new turn, the CSN has said on Thursday that, as reported by Reuters, the CSN Plenary agreed to "appreciate favorably" in December the results of the Environmental Radiological Surveillance Program (PVRA) and the Surveillance Program. and Control of Groundwater (PVCAS) for the uranium mines of Retortillo. I think RCF sold out due to tax implications for foreign LLPs investing in Australian companies, rather than a specific loss of faith in BKY. They have sold out of many similar stocks.
