What is a Cross Trade (XT)?

A cross trade occurs when a broker executes an order to buy and sell the same security at the same time, in which both the buyer and seller are clients of the broker.

A Cross Trade is represented by XT in the course of sales. If your order has been cross traded you will be able to view this on your confirmation contract note where it will be stated as 'Crossed Trade'

What does CX or CXXT mean in course of sales?
CX is a trade that has occurred in ASX CentrePoint at the current midpoint price. The midpoint price is determined by ASX to be the midpoint between the current ASX bid/offer spread.
CXXT is a cross trade or crossing that has occurred in ASX CentrePoint at the current midpoint price.

Neverlearn no It's me not reading the figures correctly, my apologies. Forgot to sanity check :-(

Neverlearn Like your thought process, one thing to factor in is where oil was in 2014( $100 plus), on the share front its a good reminder that we were at ~1.75B shares issued at the beginning of 2014 and over 2.45B by mid 2014 as the GALP well project failed and the Company changed its Directors & Management.
If something is possible then it's not impossible :-)

Bits as another poster suggested that 4m could be a short term trade, happy to take 10% profit or what ever or just seeing an opportunity elsewhere to make quick dosh, we will never know unless someone comes on the board to admit to it and the reason why ( and even then would you believe them), in the great scheme of things 4M or even 40M represents very little of total shares.

Jiddy just someone selling at 1.7c and someone else buying at 1.7c in a matched trade, different to AIM no market makers just brokers, page 8 gives some explanation.

18:25 all depends what that "best FO deal" is and in particular who it is with I would have thought, almost certain there will be a spike and some retrace as the short term investors take profits etc.

chrisev1 only 14m traded on AIM that's ~0.22% of all shares.
We need to be seeing more interest in terms of trading volume to make a substantial and sustainable SP rise, why the lack of interest, past disappointments, lack of belief in 88E from some, chasing rainbows elsewhere (we need short term traders), would not micro analyse SP movements after all we are talking decimal points of a penny :-)

You make the belief as to whether it would flow as very binary, I took a calculated position, knew there was risk and ultimately was disappointed but that was my choice .

guzzler it sounded very much that you had "inside information", whether you did or not its a bit rich to claim an over reaction when such claims are made.
You could claim the moral high ground if you gone to the FCA at the time and reported a leak.
Not certain if reported or whether LSE are monitoring posts, either way best forgotten.
