if we are getting ready for a drilling season then we will need to be contracting rigs now, that will cost money.
An informal survey of oil companies active on Alaska’s North Slope asked if they thought there would be shortage of drilling rigs on the North Slope for the next two winters’ off-road exploration seasons and the consensus was no - with one caveat.

Paul Mazzolini, Hilcorp Alaska’s drilling engineering advisor, said best what was reflected in the responses from other firms’ senior managers, most of whom asked not to be identified.

“I believe there will not be a shortage of drilling rigs for the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 winter exploration drilling seasons,” he told Petroleum News in a July 31 email. “Doyon Drilling and Nabors Alaska each have two mobile drilling rigs while Kuukpik Drilling has one rig that would be available.”

And the caveat? Secure a rig early in the process.

“Smaller Independents or any possible new operator to the Slope would need compete with COP (ConocoPhillips) and Oil Search for those rigs, which would require them to be out into the market early in the year to be able to capture a rig for the winter drilling from the established North Slope exploration drilling operators,” Mazzolini said.

Bridgedogg1 the lease surrender is not an issue , it is purely a post today that suggested a working interest transfer had taken place, my post was relevant to that .
I am pretty cognisant with DOG leasing systems and reporting :-)

So Icewine acreage is ~482,000 + Yukon ~496,000 acres
Will shortly(01/09/19) see a small increase on Yukon acreage as 398872 (1040 acres) is paid for.

Bridgedogg I have used these reports for a long time and post links on the BB, this is on the public record. I was responding to a post made earlier today that suggested there had been working interest transfers.
DOG publish a CSV file each week with updated lease records and customer records, CSV update is at 2:00PM on a Monday, have interrogated and can see no updates to AEA leases since early July when the surrender took place.
Not even sure about thread title as acreage reduction is ~45,480 acres as per item 10.1 in last 5B report.

not sure as can see nothing in obvious public files, we have surrendered leases and not yet transferred any interest unless poster has inside information.

17:29 if referring to case comments recently added July- August 2019 this actually related to a departmental decision in 2018 and can be seen on many current leases, so not specific to AEA (88E) but would of course mean any documents would not be directly added to the ADL file. View ADL case in detail.

17:29 what license details have been removed, as far as I can see nothing that has reviously been public record has gone, what I do wonder is whether all pending applications are confidential and off record, obviously have no confirmation as to whether that is fact or not.

Take a look at 20 AIM stocks (3 yrs plus) at random and just compare historical SP high to where they are today, 88E is certainly not alone and certainly not the worst performer.
LTH holding if you believe in the company is probably better than mindlessly rainbow chasing, with the illiquidity prevalent at the drop of a hat in AIM it seems even the best traders need to take care.
But in case it our money and our responsibility (choice) so best to remain silent about others strategies.
