RE: The Price You Pay31 Jan 2020 09:00
Alaska is a very oily place, but is also a very hard and expensive place to explore and develop in, in 2014 we had the possibility of exploration and development rebates of up to 78-85% of eligible expenditure paid within the same financial year in many cases, unfortunately in 2016 the plug was pulled, no new rebates, no lump sum payments.
That has not only turned our financial model on its head it has also cost us large amounts of interest , but probably also been major reason that development and particularly HRZ has slowed down, the early optimism and £1 party has to be viewed in that context.
WNKWWDNK :-)
Its a brutal world at times, at least we are still running, with a drill to look forward to, an ice road in progress and a respected FO partner look what happened to GBP 3 years ahead of us on the slope and unable to raise money ultimately.
No idea what Charlie-1 will produce but I am sure that everyone here is aware of it's importance and the possible implications if not commercial.
Not hearing much ramping going on from the regulars.
