HRZ is source rock and potential for oil in place is huge, however so are the potential costs in making it work at commercially viable cost per barrel, hence conventional targets are probably also necessary and potential is still there to succeed with those.
If you look at Paul's original conditions for success and last operational report, we are perhaps in a better maturity window at Charlie-1 so I am hoping that lab report on cores extracted does give something positive, but HRZ will not be an easy nut and Paul's untimely death has not made it easier.
Remember GBP commenced as an unconventional shale outfit and changed tack in 2015 -16, but then ran out of money and struggled to get a FO / partner to even finance the flow test on Alkaid, which with the amount of 3D data they had was surprising until PANR came along and achieved results, but that is over 12m ago and PANR are still sort their own FO out to get that next well drilled, takes time and oil crash and covid-19 has not helped anyone.
