The recent OTC "happening" took no account of fundamental valuation as far as I can see and I think I know enough and have enough oil and trading brains within my family to understand what is happening and more importantly the cos.
As for ISA I have only ever advised "to consider" and given appropriate links for them to make own decisions , not sure what point you are trying to make, :-)

In its simplest form scores are awarded for the key factors that will mean success, permeability ,porosity , hydrocarbon charge and probability of traps but unless you know the score on each individual door it is difficult to quantify, as you point out I am sure a lot is data room only.

Will be plenty who after taking recent profits are now keen to talk the price down for a nice "buy in" in expectation of any bounce if Merlin analysis proves positive , a FO is announced or just management changes.
Plus of course we have those who failed to sell early enough or never did buy in and missed out and have to vent.
Read between the lines, look at past posting histories and validate everything.

As an old 88E investor you "topped up" at 3.722p I believe and posted on here to tell us what you had done and probably encourage a few newbies to do the same with talks of a bargain, you can not have it all ways.
Do not think "dead" well is correct either, DW has already stated that although this season was too late for a sidetrack it may be re-entered in the future.
