"Not sure why that is an 'issue' OW. The company is still a speccy explorer with no producing or production-pending assets. No exploration (to uncover assets) without funding. Funding can only come from shareholders or farm-in partner...both are a dilution of equity. Debt is not an option. That has always been the case, and any existing shareholder would/should be aware that they will face a choice to accept dilution or combat dilution by share purchases. It depends largely on individual sentiment and financial means.

The good news is that they have a near term exploration programme....and while the merits of that programme can and will be heartily discussed....it exists and is fundable. The AGM has reduced one of those barriers.

As to SOI....consolidation becomes more likely with time. It will faze some and leave others untroubled. Depending on the context, it may even make the company more investable than today. No doubt management would like to do that on the back of an undisputedly and unconditionally good drilling event, should they have the luxury of picking their timing. Let's see if the oil gods will play ball.

The company has made it very clear that there may be no FO partner on Merlin-2 from the first announcement so there is nothing new.
As for AGM resolutions I doubt that many companies operating under ASX (ASICS) do not take advantage of Rule7.1.
In the current climate were banks are actively (very publicly) becoming very hesitant partners in oil exploration it would been irresponsible not to have done so.
Every year at AGM time we get the same blinding insights :-)

The Petroleum News article regarding Jade-1 was very clear that there are many factors involved and that just because the NPV is negative today that does not necessarily have to be the case going forward.
