Guess if you are the MD looking to secure the future of the company beyond Merlin-2 then today was probably a good time for a capital raise, 88E has few options at the moment beyond capital raises and as long as the money gets invested in activities that may ultimately increase company's worth then ...
Can understand the feelings of many though, AIM is a very risky place & oil & gas exploration doubly so, trying to look at my overall portfolio value today and not this share.

You are right we have no control over this and expected in any case , but a dampener on the positive news about Merlin-2 permit and ops.
As you say will drop before a recovery as cheap "buy in" occurs.

not being critical but how accurate are the published buy and sell figures, individual trades are not flagged all that happens is an algorithm is applied base on relative position of mid price, mid price is not always updated, from personal observation I think that the mid price has been low today for quite long periods hence some sells have fallen the wrong side of the mid price and been classified as buys.
