Thanks for the mostly positive comments on my piece. The one thing that should have happened is that we SHOULD have stayed in the EU and done our utmost to try and put right some of the many things that are wrong with the system in place at present. I feel we would have had a better chance of something more positive coming out of doing that than what we are faced with now.
On the topic of referendums---Personally I disagree TOTALLY with the idea of referendums. Like it or not, we elect a govt at each election, yes, it may not be the party of choice for some, but we elect these people to make decisions on our behalf because we live in the vain hope they know how to do things better than the man in the street. So why is it a good idea when they do not know what to do to have a referendum and let the people make the choice on LIFE CHANGING policies? It then becomes open house for both sides of the argument to feed us loads of lies and mis-information creating an even worse situation. So you sow, so you will reap---and the harvest is yet to come!!

There is no doubt that the UK is entering a very worrying time in its history. The ripples of Brexit will be felt far and wide, not only in the UK but, for example, in Germany many thousands in the car industry workers could be put out of work. IMO it is the worst decision a British PM has made in modern history--Cameron and The referendum--we have to live with it like it or not, but we are going into the unknown and politicians in Europe are at a loss to know how to deal with it. My point is that places like The Weald could be so important the UK Economy if things turn out the way many are anticipating. Please UK Govt if this does come to fruition do not mess up the income as you did with North Sea oil. North Sea oil should have set up the UK for many years, but the money from the taxes derived was squandered. I really fear for the future of our young people when we have politicians running round like headless chickens not knowing how to run countries. Most countries in the Western world now have govts that are split, slender majorities and populations that are split down the middle as they do not know who to vote for. Britian please get The Weald RIGHT if it is to be a goer!! Sunday sermon over!!!

Thanks--and we must not be surprised---even expect it---that SS will be toying with the idea of buying more or other companies interests--DOR--ALBA?? The excitement builds, foundations being built and maybe the iceberg that is The Weald will show us more than we think??

I think many of these sites only think of UKOG when several other companies are involved in The Weald--UKOG maybe the majority shareholder but others have a part to play.

The PROSPECT of exciting times ahead. Some good and reasoned comments made on here on the subject. It is good that parties to The Weald are speaking to the planning authorities--1- to get things rights and 2 to maintain a good working relationship with the Planning Authorities.
On the question of funding--IMO they would not be thinking along the lines of further wells if they also did not have a sound plan in place as to how these prospects were going to be funded--so I do not think anyone should be unduly concerned that they would go to all this trouble of forwarding an application without funding in place.

So many on here trying to predict sp, RNS when we will get a rise, when oil will come out, tankers etc. This is a 150 Testing period and we are no where near the end of that period so how can we expect to get results when they have not even started testing? Many on here need to calm down and give it a rest. Oil industry is not a quick fix to get rich!!

VERY annoying when people post info on her when it is only SPECULATION and NOT fact---which most comments on here are! Marky seems to have a fair bit of oil industry knowledge which I hope IS accurate though. We will have to wait for the company to give us information which will be accurate----I hope!!

We have already met----drove all the way from Cornwall to Spain ----with her hubby! and stayed in a local hotel and met my wife!! We had a meal or two--the FOUR of us!!

But surely by the laws of an RNS it would have to be released, they cannot hang on to info that could be price sensitive?---but SS did that at BB--hung on to price sensitive info!!

Apparently although it seems to us novices that it is a lot of gas, some say it would only be enough to light a few house a day, needs to be massively more to be commercial. But maybe the gas is good if only to push the oil out!??

we certainly are in a waiting game. No news from those on site--except for the odd picture of a crane etc. Is there a news embargo? Yes, be good to see the flare stack going in and operational. As to one of the big boys coming in and talks---could be going on but nothing will happen for a while yet as we have no OFFICIAL proof of commercialism, no figures for flow rates. A lot to be done here and new drills to get any of the Major companies interested. Until we get things realy moving in the Kimmeridge Zones then not a lot to talk about on this BB--only speculation!!
