Re: Investors Meeting… trouble that we have with this management, is that the only thing that it has to say that is credible is anything that is committed in an RNS. Why? Because it has to be. Everything else management has to say, we have come to accept as pure fantasy. An Investors Meeting is nothing more than another opportunity for the management to make things up as it goes along. Big talk; no follow-through; no action.

Red666 What matters is where we are today, the plan for the future, and how deliverable that is. The history of PXC is to all intents and purposes, irrelevant.

Next stop, insolvency for this pup.

The management is out of its depth, the market knows it, and hence the reason it cannot source capital to move the venture forward.

Sadly, management did manage to postpone the inevitable by securing some interim funding recently, thus prolonging the time before PXC’s demise.

Decent asset potentially, but simply in the wrong hands IMO.

The only saving grace here is that there is a $ or two in them there ‘ills, and at the moment at least, it’s appreciating in value.

If this puppy runs out of money and is placed into administration by the end of the year, as I now think is a genuine possibility, as the management here are out of their depth, the real hope here is that a proper operator with proper management experience comes along and buys the company, even if it is for a fraction of its value.

I’ve been reading about AFC. So much potential, new man at the helm with a clear strategy to deliver what looks to be a sustainable model, but the big question is how does this business get carried through its development phase to sustainable income stream? Cash flow on the face of it looks like the biggest challenge. Any ideas how much cash will be needed to prove-up the molecular testing that was mentioned in the presentation that you cited, to provide to the investors, to provide the investment case, and was there any mention of timelines in proving-up? How much headroom do we have do you think from a cash burn perspective, to deliver the science to investors?

Realistically however, what are the chances of getting enough PI’s together to fund this as a class action in the courts in England?

What are the merits of a case like this? Are there any legal precedents?

Cliff, I don’t get that. PXC’s issue is that it is cash-strapped. If it has no cash, there is no ability for the company to convert that value into cash. I’ve seen companies that are asset rich and cash poor get sold for fractions of their NAV. It’s the law of supply and demand.

Trek was over on CAML board saying that PXC would be a good target for CAML, who are struggling to get their acquisition of New World Resources over the line. I have been thinking exactly the same for some time.

I’ve been thinking exactly the same thing for some time Trek. Would make a lot of sense, and seems to me like a good fit.

And if everyone writes multiple posts about something else that they’re invested in on the MTL bulletin board then can you see that that then impacts on what people are actually coming to MTL for; and that is MTL information? I’m not trying to bully anyone in saying this. If I want to know about THX I’ll go over there, as I regularly do, to listen to what people on there have got to say.

Pedro I’m actually long on THX aswell as MTL but that doesn’t change the fact that the general rule of etiquette on these boards is that if I have anything to say about THX, I’ll post it on THX.

One fundamental thing before all of this is relevant is:

Does your father have a Will?

Does your father still have capacity? And if so, does he have Property and Financial Affairs Powers of Attorney in place?

A Private Client Lawyer will sort all of this out for you if it’s not already done. The sooner the better, if not.

Thanks Crusty for sharing your perspective. I hope that you’re right. Maybe I’ve been on the receiving end of one too many shaftings in the O and G sphere to be as positive as you are about it. I think it was someone clever like Einstein that said that there is nothing as powerful in the universe as compound interest. ARA would’ve known since the Ruvuma farm-in was completed that nothing would happen for years, so it’s been in their interests to deploy capital elsewhere and let fellas like us sweat it out holding the golden egg in the interim dormant period. The time value of money invested elsewhere for the last 5 years and the closer we are now to commercialisation might mean that 1.2p for the remainder of the shares looks a more attractive investment proposition today to ARA than say at an SP of a fraction of that 5 years ago. I think to them, to take AEX out in its entirety even at 2p would be nothing more than chump change in any case.

I am invested here, yes, but regardless of that, what I have asked is a valid question to ask is it not? I’m genuinely interested in what people have to say about this and if they’ve got any solid reason to believe either way why ARA might or might not take it private when they can pick the outstanding shares for chips. It makes less sense to me why they wouldn’t and haven’t. Especially with all the compliance etc that a company has to jump through as a listed company. It just seems to be less hassle to just tuck this under their wing and be answerable to no one other than themselves.
