Any thoughts on Paul Shackleton ?
Just another snout in the Rurelec trough ?
What exactly can he achieve ?
Does he speak Spanish or have a degree in electrical engineering ? Mmmm ?
RNS mentions
Transactions — there are none
Fund raising - another loan ? What will that achieve other than paying their salaries for another 3 or 4 years ?
Corporate governance and regulation. - avoiding shareholders enforcing their rights ?
And finally - will he cost more than the £30k that Rowbotham was taking ?
Hardly new blood … He was our NOMAD and left WH Ireland at the time of the failed takeover in 2017.
And just an observation on our current management team - as it stands none of the current three Directors has had the confidence in the company to invest any of their own hard earned cash in RUR shares - although perhaps that might be premature given the chunky buys over the last few days. It would indeed be a welcome RNS if that were to change - but I’m not holding my breath.
Our previous NOMAD at WH Ireland …. Well if he can sell the turbines or get some more money out of Argentina - then welcome ! But if this is just another drain on shareholders funds then please justify the appointment. I look forward to examining his contract of employment at the forthcoming AGM - whenever that will be .
The last debt repayments was 9 months ago. At this rate it will take 20 years to pay off the debt. Unless we have a substantial cash injection from the sale of an asset shareholders will get nothing.
How about just plain - WRONG
THERE isn’t £20m lurking down the back of the Rurelec sofa and there never has been !
No doubt inJuly we will find out how much / or how little cash is left for the AGM !
Riddler been very quiet…
Maybe ask waltersobchack ?
Curious to know why he chose to post this ? His first post since 2012 ?
Nothing to do with Rurelec or Eds whatsoever. We run on natural gas - not hydro !
Oh dear..dear..dear.. Please do your research ...

Bitfarms mining operations run on hydropower to make bitcoin mining more environmentally friendly.
RIDDLES has gone quiet about the £20m he said he had found ?
The Directors were crysral clear about the reasons for the restructure in their RNS of 27 Aug 2020
The purpose of the Capital Restructure is to create the capacity to pay dividends in the future, dependent upon the availability of future cash flows and the Company's working capital requirements at the time.
But please focus on ...future cash flows...
That means either CASH from the sale of the turbines ‘ Chile project or REPAYMENTS from Argentina.
The question is - Can we expect either source to produce any cash in the near future ?
I suggest you need to research further -
A share buyback was possible due to a huge injection of CASH from settlement of a claim.
The Company's focus has continued to be on regaining and developing new business in the Middle East, and releasing the cash in receivables and bonds, and completing the action against the former auditors, Grant Thornton.
Whilst the activities in the Middle East have been slowed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Company has been able to successfully conclude the litigation against Grant Thornton. The total award after the Court of Appeal ruling as announced on 2 October 2020 amounted to £28.6 million including litigation costs recovered, £4.5 million of which has been released and the remainder, the Company expects to be released by the Court in the near future.
GENUINE QUESTION - How much CASH do you think RUR has now and how much does it need for the next six months ?
Please note - the figure shown in the interim accounts as Share premium account is NOT liquid CASH
Looks like Angold Resources is trading at CDN 0.50 -which seems to be up 191% - if that’s correct then GUN has made another excellent investment.
Does somebody know something ?
Have we sold the Chile project ? Or sold the turbines ?
A cash injection of 3 or 4 times our MCAP would work wonders. Then we wouldn’t have to ask our wonderful Directors to take a 50% pay cut !
Anyone else having problems trying to reconcile the proxy votes listed on the RUR website ?
https://www.rurelec.com/images/2020PDFs/30.06.2020_Proxy-and-Poll-Results.pdf
Just 28 days before the interest rate on the loan goes up. But they said they would pay it off ! So RUR will then be debt free. All well and good - but with no money to continue with the Chile project why are we holding onto the turbines? Anyone know who wants second hand 126MW machines ?
Haha..he needs a lot more than that to take control !! LOL
Thats a pretty chunky trade on RUR !! £5K !! Somebody expecting some news ?
