IMO no matter how good we say the Ops progress was under LR we are running out of time.
We are onto our last extension of the exploration license as it expires in Nov 2023.
Not only that….numerous articles in Spanish press on Europa Metals Iberica starting exploitation in 2023…..how can this possibly be achieved with No PFS as yet still in place and we are in March 2022 ?

The pre-feasibility study usually considers a range of mining and processing alternatives and varying production rates, with the options narrowed down to one or two in each area. At this stage it is possible to detail the additional work including further definition drilling, sterilization drilling, metallurgical test work, pilot plant work and other site investigations that will be needed to support a feasibility study. The results of the pre-feasibility study are used to justify expenditure on gathering this additional information and the considerable expenditure needed to carry out the final feasibility study on a substantial project. The final feasibility study provides a basis for a commitment to proceed with project development, detailed design and construction. While it is convenient to refer to scoping studies, pre-feasibility studies, and final feasibility studies, in reality the study process is iterative and several increasingly detailed pre-feasibility studies may be undertaken before committing to the final feasibility study.

The activity of the Accelerator Unit is aimed at favoring that the investment projects that generate wealth and employment for Andalusia can be processed before the administrations with agility and efficiency. These refer to the achievement of stable and quality employment in all production sectors and the use and enhancement of natural and economic resources under the principle of sustainability, as well as industrial and technological development based on innovation.

This body, dependent on the Ministry of the Presidency, Public Administration and the Interior, will provide assistance and advice to the people or entities promoting the projects on all the necessary procedures for the effective start-up and execution of the project. Likewise, it will coordinate with the different ministries and instrumental entities with powers over the procedures that affect investment initiatives, as well as with the corresponding local administrations.

In the case of the Atalaya Mining company, its business proposals add up to 606 million and 5,111 jobs, both during the construction phase and those of a direct and indirect nature. The first of the actions is promoted by one of its subsidiaries, Atalaya Masa Valverde, in the municipalities of Valverde del Camino and Beas with the aim of taking advantage of the Masa Valverde and Majadales deposits. Copper and zinc have been found in both, two metals of crucial importance for the ecological and digital transition, as well as sufficient mineral reserves to make the investment economically viable. This is an underground operation that will make it possible to extract metallic ore for at least 14 years, for treatment at the company's facilities in Minas de Riotinto. Teaye…I translated that link and it talks about the below and our project is not mentioned at all by the Junta…rather sad in a way…..
The Junta de Andalucía will accelerate the processing of seven mining projects, which entail a private investment of 1,271 million euros and the creation of 7,892 jobs in the provinces of Huelva, Córdoba and Granada. The impact that these actions will have for the dynamism and competitiveness of Andalusian mining, for the generation of new business opportunities and for employment has motivated their assignment, at the proposal of the Ministry of Economic Transformation, Industry, Knowledge and Universities, to the Unit Project Accelerator of the Junta de Andalucía. This decision, of which the Governing Council has taken notice, will entail streamlining procedures to facilitate its execution.

In terms of employment, of the 7,892 jobs associated with these business investments, 1,141 jobs will be created during the construction of the industrial facilities, 1,871 will be direct, and the remaining 4,880, indirect.

In the province of Huelva, there are five industrial initiatives that are assigned and that will involve a private outlay of 1,006 million and the generation of 5,771 jobs. Four of them are promoted by the company Atalaya Mining and the fifth, by Minas de Aguas Teñidas (Matsa).

It appears that they have been successful however not quite sure at the moment…will let you know if I find anything else.

I am still hoping that the latest Mets will produce a few surprises…..I have been doing some reading up on processes being used especially in determining the by products….which we still have no idea of what they are and came across this interesting article FWIW…..
“ Although each ounce of gold recovered requires the processing of about 100,000 ounces of ore, there is so much gold deposited in rock veins that this method accounts for more than half of the world's total gold production today. The gold in the veins may be of microscopic particle size, in nuggets or sheets, or in gold compounds. Regardless of how it is found, the ore requires extensive extraction and refining. One third of all gold is produced as a by product of copper, lead, and zinc production. Copper, for example, must be electrolytically refined to raise its purity from 99% to more than 99.99% as required for many industrial purposes. In the refining process an anode of impure copper is electrolyzed in a bath in which the cathode is a very thin sheet of highly refined copper. As the process continues, copper ions leave the impure anode and are deposited as atoms on the cathode. Because impurities are not transported through the bath, as the anode is consumed, the impurities fall to the bottom as a sludge. This anode sludge contains gold in quantities sufficient to make recovery profitable. One third of all gold is obtained from such by products. Silver and platinum are also recovered from the copper anode sludge in quantities large enough to more than pay for the total refining process. In obtaining gold from vein ore, the ore is first crushed in rod or ball mills. This process reduces the ore to a powdery substance from which the gold can be extracted by amalgamation with mercury or by placer procedures. About 70% is recovered at this point. So what this says is Foundation Santa Barbara and Europa Metals Iberia the call for proposals on the 15th Feb…..was successful….and all the municipalities where our license covers were present….These are :

Representatives of the Municipal Corporations in the facilities of the Santa Bárbara Foundation, coming from all the Town Councils of the Project Research permit: Borrenes, Carracedelo, Carucedo, Sobrado and Toral de los Vados, as well as the districts of Campañana, Carucedo, Paradela del River, Requejo, San Juan de Paluezas, Villadepalos and Villarrando.
So definitely something brewing…..imo
