Then on Friday I sold all the other covid era crud that was clogging up the investment list (Val, Hemo, Abr etc.) and have put the funds from that exercise into companies with real potential (imo). Believe me when I stay how the stress has melted away with a now diverse range of potential rather than it all in one dog basket. Genuinely hope that is helpful. B

When I sold, I had it in mind to buy back in again in a few weeks when it had sunk back…….. but with some funds in the account and on checking out other opportunities I realised how dumb the buyback plan was………..

WBAFC, I did not have as much invested in Novacyt as you have stated but I did have a fair old chunk (for me) and was several tens of thousands down.

I think like you I sat watching what happened in horror as the disaster unfolded over the past couple of years but I also had a stupid mindset of I haven’t lost until I sell.

When I did sell, at 118p, it was like a weight being lifted and in the past couple of weeks I have started to make good progress in repairing he damage by putting my money back into other opportunities (check out some of the recent helium players if that helps).

Loss aversion is a well known state of mind (read Thinking fast and slow by Daniel Kahneman) and it’s only when you think it through properly that you realise how dumb it is to leave money in a dog when it could be earning elsewhere.

You have been around this share long enough to realise that it is run by a shambolic BOD and Covid has gone.

Anyway, good luck and I hope you can dig yourself out, but imo it will not be by staying invested in this.

Yes iceman, the number of shares traded afar exceeds the amounts on the LSE trades page. It’s closer to 4.5 million if you look elsewhere which I suspect means a ton of not yet advised deals. Watch the trades list on Monday because someone is buying this heavily.

I've listened to all the Bo interviews again (those from the past few days re the shale issue) and although he is being guarded and trying to contain his enthusiasm, you can tell he is itching to get the wireline logs and the flow testing done. I think he's genuinely convinced he's sitting on a bigun.

Did a poke about and found this on the Mowry shale layer. 10 to 70m thick. No idea how you case it but presumably from the top until you are through it.

Great to see the informative and useful posts again from the likes of AndyP and others. I hate it when the idiots arrive with their caps locks and stupid pumping and dumping. My biggest weakness is engaging with them instead of hitting the green button (but I can't help myself sometimes). Nice to see you back around Kaeren and let's hope the experience here is an improvement over you know where!

I'm new to HEX and Helium but I have been doing a lot of reading over the past few days and just get more and more comfortable with being invested here. I think the share price drop since the RNS about the slight delay is overdone and that the positive signs and messages far outweigh any negatives.

There is no doubt that Helium is in demand and that demand will increase along with the price. Not a bad starter for ten.

I not only like the people at Hex, but would probably find it difficult to find management with more experience in this field. They have also put their own money and reputations on the line and talk confidently and with integrity. Communication seems to be at the top of the agenda as well with frequent updates and news (anyone who has experienced the lack of news at Novacyt will know how important that is).

I did look at other Helium players and none seem as promising as HEX. Montana is a hell of a lot easier than Tansania for a multitude of political and geographical reasons, and HEX are totally funded for the two wells, including the unexpected sheathing of the shale layer at Clink 1. The numbers also indicate a great well, unlike the HE1 results which looked poor given the Capex that will be required.

It may be that HEX are suffering a further drop in the sp at the moment because of the HE1 effect. I also think that many investors are fickle and want jam today all the time whereas I am prepared to wait it out for a few months if required (although I happen to think it will be quicker than that before all is back on track).

Anyway, that's my ten pennies worth and good luck to all.

Just having a look at the summary page on LSE this evening (and I know it may not be the most accurate measure on the planet lol) but does it not tell you something! Literally twice as many buys as sells with big volumes. And that does not take into account the million plus ‘unknowns’. I would not be surprised to see a fair old increase in the sp tomorrow, added to by the realisation by many holders that the ‘bad’ news this morning was not that bad. In fact the snippets that came out from the Bo interview indicate that they are sitting on a bloody great reserve of helium and hydrogen! The market will work it out eventually.

I make it nearly a million shares gone through in those big lumps so far, someone is taking advantage of the dip in my opinion. Deja vu?
