RE: Paris Hydrogen show17 Nov 2024 08:44
Good Morning all on this crisp and sunny one (at least where I am!).
The order of priorities this morning start with two soft boiled eggs (double yolkers from the farm down the road) with wholemeal toast, trying to equally split the leftovers with two large, obviously starved and very attentive Golden Retrievers, checking up on what has happened overnight in the Vendee Globe round the world yacht race and brewing some fresh coffee.
Then I might ponder between the lines on the various hints, leads and reading between the lines on this Hydrogen malarkey.
My first thought is that this was all about Helium. That is what Helix was all about with good looking prospects for the two wells and it was on that basis that I was happy to invest when looking specifically for a Helium play in my portfolio. I don't want to get into an us versus them argument, suffice it to say that Helix got my vote on previous exploration results in the area, the location and logistics, the administrative and political environment and the cost savings to be made with local contractors as well as the ease of production and distribution. However, the overriding factor that swung the deal was the people.
I remain happy and confident on the outcome and prognosis for my investment on the Helium alone, even if only based on one of the two wells proving commercial (but I happen to believe that both will come good).
Then the Hydrogen began to bubble to the surface at Ingomar.
The enthusiasm and demeanor of both Bo and DM changed, statements like "if it's there, the world is ours" and more recently "it's a fun deal" as well as the conference, linkedin posts and the latest like are nothing on their own but why would you highlight and raw attention to the Hydrogen aspect if you were niot coming to the party? Should Ingomar not be capable of producing Hydrogen commercially, the least you would look is a bit of a buffoon in my opinion, and I think Bo is as far removed from being a buffoon as its possible to get.
My final thought is that in the cesspit that is AIM, for whatever reason I think a very straight bat is being played. We have had a couple of faux pas recently with the Linkedin post on the conference (minor in my opinion) and the photo and comment about the $ printer from the consultant with the weird name (even by Yank standards Bridger Cottle is amusing).
I think Bridger is probably smarting from the call from probably Bo and was definitely the catalyst for the RNS the following morning. I think we would have got the news sooner rather than later but maybe HEX wanted to release all the news together as that golden RNS. No idea, pure speculation on my part and off course we will never know! I'm as keen as everyone else to find out where we are but I am also happy to wait until definitive news is released. No amount of whining, sackcloth and ashes on here will make any difference to the speed with which that happens. But when it does, I think we will all be
