SETSqx so MM's are involved17 Aug 2020 08:58
My research showed SYME was SETqx so does have MM's at times. Below is the description from LSE.
Actually, you are making the same mistake that I did yesterday. This is not a pure SETS stock, it's SETSqx (check on the London Stock Exchange website.
See below an excellent definition provided by Weathergeek yesterday from the LSE website.SETSqx (Stock Exchange Electronic Trading Service β quotes and crosses)
"SETSqx is a hybrid trading system, combining features from SEAQ and SETS, and is designed for securities with reasonable levels of liquidity, but which may at times require market maker quotes to maintain levels of trading. As such, the electronic order book is split into a quote book and an order book β the quote book being the listing of quotes by appointed market makers, and the order book being electronic orders entered as they are on SETS."
