Wow Glen moved and sell at 130.7 got taken for a good 2.3k profit. Kept sell order at 3p profit realistic as it moved up by 1p after the buy. As I keep saying having cash on hand in such volatile markets you can make some quick gains. Lucky this week with the timing of entry
Of course need to have 1 or 2% limit to sell lower after buy in case it drops. Can lose out say 3 out of 10 times. If it moves up dont be too greedy and have a quick sell price. If it moves higher than that be happy with what you gained or if your sell stop gets take there is another chance another day.
Very few decent stocks without stamp duty. FERG another one which moves that way 1 to 2%
Can't believe Boeing is shooting up. All money given to US companies are LOANS and dont see why stocks are up like this.
Bought a big chunk of Glen at 127.6p at lunch for a short day trade seeing Dow held despite the whopping 3 Mill jobless claim. Looks like the 1% lower level threshold from buy of stop sell will not be taken.
Thought Kaz was having VIAGRA side effects overnight when it was up and stiff at 367 for 5 minutes this morning when all his friends were completely limp and red.
MM would not let you take advantage of this Ken. They wanted to get a few suckers before they opened the gate to take off the unwanted side effect by 7%

Day have you tried adding vitamin C with your Iron supplements. Vital c is in oranges, orange juice etc.
Standard advice you get anywhere
How to increase low ferritin levels
For the best results, people should take oral iron supplements with a source of vitamin C to increase iron absorption. They should avoid antacids, calciumsupplements, and tea or coffee within 2 hours of an iron supplement.
If you very low in Iron you need IV iron supplements but in current scenario you will not be admitted for that.
Reading your surgical history is like a war injury one after another. I am stunned. Your files will be in 4 or 5 boxes :(
We really take life for granted....many of us healthy moaners.
Unfortunately this not NYCT antibody test kit. This is that small private company in derby or wherever they are based. Luck fellas and company.
The Govt is inerested in knowing if patient was infected for example a health care worker was infected so that they can return to work.
NHS workers or anyone else will be able to know if they have had the virus and are therefore immune, which means they could resume their normal lives, no longer having to work from home or keep their distance from other people. It is widely thought that having had Covid-19 makes people immune to the disease, or that if they get it a second time, they do not transmit it.
This article clarifies a lot of things.
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/mar/25/uk-coronavirus-mass-home-testing-to-be-made-available-within-days
As I mentioned in my 2 parts they want big labs to ramp up the testing and hence this announcement today
The article states - Pea**** reiterated that they would get to 25,000 a day. It is understood that a deal has been struck with the pharmaceutical giant Roche to increase the numbers to that level.
Of course NCYT kits also be sued in all the hospital labs across UK as Roche is not having big labs outside of the main cities probably
USA for example where the labs use their own tests
• LabCorp CEO Adam Schechter said the company will soon be able to process more than 100,000 tests weekly.
• Quest Diagnostics will soon have the capacity to run around 200,000 tests per week, CEO Steve Rusckowski.
Europe picture
In Spain, health authorities recently warned that the country does not have enough resources to diagnose all cases of the novel coronavirus and only 30,000 tests have been done since the beginning of the crisis, Spanish newspaper El País reported.
While France said that it can carry out just 2,500 tests a day with prioritisation for healthcare professionals and those who are very sick.
Germany can conduct about 12,000 tests daily, according to the German national association of statutory health insurance physicians.
This could explain why Germany presents the lowest mortality rate among the countries that are most affected by the epidemic - at 0.3 percent compared to Italy's 7.9 percent.
Although the UK is currently doing 4,000 tests per day, the country is considering to increase this figure to 25,000 a day, British prime minister Boris Johnson announced on Wednesday.
Poland recently said that about 1,500 test are being done daily, although the country expects to receive 10,000 test kits from China to increase its capacity.
Spain – Robots to do testing in near future. The fleet of robots would reduce their risk of exposure and quadruple the 15,000-20,000 tests Spain currently does a day, according to Bloomberg.
https://fullfact.org/health/coronavirus-testing-numbers-UK/
as of 13 March 2020
The seven top ranking countries by test numbers, according to the 17 March dataset, were:
1. Guangdong in China (320,000)
2. South Korea (286,716)
3. Italy (148,657)
4. United Arab Emirates (125,000)
5. Kuwait (120,000)
6. Russia (116,061)
7. UK (50,442)
Tests done as of 2nd March 2020 in one site
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/covid-19-testing/
another good site
https://ourworldindata.org/covid-testing
Very good data on Covid-19 testing worldwide
SO PLEASE USE ALL THIS INFORMATION TO DO THE CALCULATION not based on the expected production but possible use worldwide.
Hence I say the antibody test by NYCT will be the clincher as the next step to go with the current kits
PART 1 - Why NCYT is Not shooting up ?? and REALITY of Tests being conducted in lab V/s Production
Gentlemen I am long this stock since 56p and have traded Mondays 30% of large holding last 4 weeks and this week 50% and still have 50% long holding. My posts previously here have been posting information links only and no unnecessary ramping.
SO LET US SEE HOW MANY TESTS ARE BEING CONDUCTED WORLDWIDE TO GET AN IDEA AND WHY THE REVENUE S COMING IN SLOWLY FOR NYCT
All need to realise that you need labs with specialised PCR equipment and lab personnel who need to prepare the samples of the swab and set up the tubes for the reaction numbering all ( about 1-2 hours at least) and then 2 hours for a test to process. Therefore in a lab in a 12 hours work time max you can run 3 batches of about 90 tests in a PCR machine. Multiply that with 2 or 3 per average sized lab.
In US the FDA was not interested in the speed of the test. They wanted big labs which could process tests in > 10,000 per day and hence they were keen to give the EUA to the big labs first who could do this. Yes NYCT has the kits of 3 million /month but the private or other smaller labs need to take this kit up in bits and pieces across US or the world. The big Labs use their own tests (and FDA is not interested with 90% accuracy issues to save their face as they want more tests). So without link up with a big lab with long reach in a country/continent like now has happened with Bruker which is a good game changer for Europe only. Bruker has multiple labs across Europe where they use NYCT kit . They need a tie up in US with a big lab without its own test if they want to hit the jackpot. The other jackpot is develop fast the antibody test to confirm a person was was infected for next big SP rise. Till then actual sales figure is what moves the SP up significantly.
TESTING DONE SO FAR WORLDWIDE -
Let us take for example UK, France, Italy, Germany and Spain. Based on what info I can get from the net and links provided the ramp up in testing world wide is the key going forward as countries are waking up and identifying labs.
1 - UK - As of 9am on 24 March 2020, a total of 90,436 people have been tested in UK . currently between 5,000 and 6,000 tests are done a day. The government plans to increase this to 25,000 tests a day within four weeks.
2- France - France currently has the capacity to perform 2,500 tests a day - up from 2,000 last week, but still not enough to test everyone who has symptoms. In total 183 hospitals are authorised to provide tests and 120 laboratories process them. So 120 labs across country doing approx. – 208 tests / lab.
3- Germany - According to Germany’s National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians, the country has capacity for about 12,000 Covid-19 tests per day, while Wieler has claimed it has capacity for 160,000 tests per week.
Continued in PART 2
Day disappointed for you but relieved you stayed away from petridish correctly. However I have suggested 1 solution already and here is another one
1. First was as previous one - call consultant sec and see if you can have video or telephone consult and if so send the PDF files (if you have facility to scan the important letters or operation notes ). Did you try this option as a stopgap ? Not late still as your clinic spot is still vacant if you dont go and can be used alternatively.
2. If not too urgent arrange for a private consultation where the QE surgeon does his Pvt practice in 2 months as self pay and you can discuss the same instead of waiting another decade for an appointment in NHS. If you search on the net you will get details of his Pvt practice. Will cost a few bob but will give you peace of mind about the 2nd or further expert opinion you wanted.
Other advice sorry suggestion is that as long as your better half is not going to work or can do reasonable social distancing (with the almost useless masky thing if needed, for whatever it is worth) while shopping, you dont have to push her into the posh garden shed and you live like a sage in solitary confinement. Very difficult and not practical to isolate away from your missus for 3 months rather take precautions unless she is occupied full time in the veg patch in the backyard like Fira's :)
Can see the big beaming smile on your face ken from counties away with Glen and Kaz off like a rocket. Yes when the market recovers minig stocks will be the fastest to recover to meet the pent up demand of the building industry then. Wish we all had that crystal ball.
Better to drink Petrol than water as it is way cheaper at £1.02 currently :)
True regarding oil situation in world. I joke sometimes with friends that if you go to fill your car with petrol or diesel it is much cheaper than a bottle of the mineral water they sell in the same place. The feckin water is from some backyard stream and needs no effort to bring up or drill. Madness and people buy it for £1.50 to £2 / litre.
Sold out of BP at 330p and GLenda at 130p for a tidy profit for a 24 hour hold. Jees pure luck over 2 days of trading, first with the Fed QE rise and selling and yesterday and today with the stimulus news. Off to work and will leave cash on sidelines as I feel job numbers will be bad tommorow and some reality will set in as you all know in your gut. Ok back to work.....retirement far off
Here is one such precious water from heaven . This one only £2.19 for a litre and people buy it.

To give an idea with less than 1% of countries testing unlike South Korea or Japan ( who learnt very well with SARS) due to severe unplanned testing shortage - covid-19 patients positive patient numbers time taken for every 100,000 is as follows. This is not the actual infected
67 days to reach 100,000
11 days to reach 200,000
4 days to reach 300,000
2 days to reach 400,000
Many hospitals across UK dont have enough PPE i.e., personell protection equipments like N95 masks , gowns to ensure health care personnel have enough protection in 3 to 4 weeks while treating the surge like in US and Italy. Already we see it in London this shortage in front line. Paracetamol is not available in most pharmacies due to previous godamn hoarding which 111 advises you in uk if you call them with covid-19 symptoms!!!!!
Orangeman in US has no feckin! idea asking heath care people to recycle the N95 masks using feckin disinfectants. If he is infected and on ventilator the d...k h...d will know.
Orangeman wants to open US by Easter as he is worried of reelection and markets and does not give a f..k compared to the New York Governor who feels human life is not expendable or elderly are disposable.
Apologies to put this info in the midst of all the share talk. I take my mind off the worry by delving in shares from time to time worried for my family if something serious happened to me in the front line.
https://www.uhb.nhs.uk/news/latest-advice-on-coronavirus.htm
Day all hospitals are in the max prep mode to take in sick patients and are clearing all those at risk of getting cross infections as currently it is difficult to differentiate those with Covid and those without, till tests which take 24 hours come back. All non urgent major cancer surgeries (sadly yes) have been cancelled along with all elective operations. All outpatient visits puts the patients in hospital and doctor/ nurses/ health workers at risk, if the patients have it and are silent carriers. Therefore most of outpatient consultations are being done by telephone or video call. In your case sadly you have waited for over 7 months for this 2nd opinion and this issue has surfaced which understandably is disappointing.
As I said (with apology for being frank) you fall into the high risk category of having a bad outcome, if you end up with covid infection due to your gastric pull up / lung infection and surgery with history of Ca and hence fall into the vulnerable category and hence possibly getting those texts. People who are on chemotherapy, diabetic, overweight, lung problems, some types of cancers are at high risk if they get the infection to end up with complications and hence they are being shielded and asked to isolate like those over 70s.
Hence I suggested to see if you can talk to the consultant sec to check if you can have a 30 minute video consult or telephone interview. You can always send the most relevant documents scanned as PDF to the doctors sec to refer to during your discussion. It is a really sad state of affairs we are in and hence my outburst a few days ago to tell people to stop comparing this with ordinary flu. Millions of patients those who dont have covid will suffer like you sadly indirectly and those who get it will end up with problems life long.
"Covid-19 Virus is shy and does not like to come into your house, unless you go outside and invite it in"
Picked up good chunk BP at 279.8 now and Glenda earlier got filled at 117p for a short term punt which will do well with the stimulus bill if it goes through today or by tomorrow. Would not want to hold these going into Thursday US time 8am.
Anybody make any sense of mid day auction showing GLEN at 124 and BP at 296 ? I am not a technical guy and never did trades based on technical chart ( sounds novice) and made my pot based on copmay fundamentals and market news and sentiment all the same. Ken you were spot on with GLEN open price today and Kaz also I think 2 hours before open
Well done red picking on close yesterday. You had the Kahunas and must have had some night sweats :) Agree with many about oil and airline stocks going up with no evidence backing it with all the gas sitting idle in the car tanks. News they are releasing Wuhan free and perhaps punters think china will take all the oil.
Had read somewhere to pick BP when oil hit 20 and that was BP at 736. Sentiment now improved with their dividend and forward plans.

The FCA reminds companies that the Market Abuse Regulation remains in full force and listed companies are still required to announce inside information to the market as soon as possible unless a valid reason to delay disclosure under the regulation exists.
This statement does not apply to AIM companies.
Not a total lockdown as there are liberties of one exercise (who will monitor), shopping food which is again not clear as youngsters in town closeby will surely venture out 5 times a day with this excuse, not many cops here to monitor. Not a italy or Spanish style lockdown. Market should not go too red in AM. US stimulus progress will have influence.

It is to protect companies and prevent uncouth shorts (rats) from running all over the shares in this miserable panic markets.
2 Points of the FCA advice (came out last Friday)
The watchdog urged all listed companies to observe a moratorium on the publication of preliminary financial statements for at least two weeks.
The FCA believes the practice of issuing preliminary financial statements in advance of the full audited financial statements is adding unnecessarily to the pressure on companies and the audit profession at this moment.”

Looks like it may come through . Kudlow and Chuck seem very confident. Still a long process. If u in then a big bang 2morow if they sort before market open.
This is interesting and probably much needed in current market
