Those numbers don't bug me as much as the numbers called the sp in the UK - just when there appears to be a breakthrough at 7p people who are losing money cut their losses and drag the price back. If Tony produces the flow rates that he he expects , they are going to be bugged even more than me but at least they will deserve it.

Roof done and paid for, with no eleventh hour additions attempted, probably paid too much but when they were here they worked very hard. Some roofers would have taken their time and it may then have looked better value, if you get my drift!

We have had no rain since they appeared a fortnight ago - so their work is untested. Roof did not leak to my knowledge but the gutters definitely overflowed in heavy rain. At least the mortar has had time to set.

Those numbers are bugging me. 127,300 from 154k - so not the numbers bought, but can't be numbers available or they'd do the deal? 297,200 was still unchanged.

TOU were 12c sell, 13c buy for a while but the numbers bought/sold are stati at 297,200 sold @ 11.5c and 154,045 bought @ 12c if that is their meaning.
I tried to get 12c for 10 minutes with no luck.
CBA below $81 which was too attractive if I could make a profit on TOU.
Happy to hold either but dividends on CBA would be nice at the right price.

I bought my house from an elderley couple who had a daughter with Down's syndrome, aged 51 - that was 15 years ago.
They had never expected her to outlive them but it was becoming very likely because she was very fit and bright , and had a great sense of humour.
Their belief was that Poole looked after medical conditions better than East Dorset e,g. they would put two people with different disabilities in a shared home so their combined abilities could gel into looking after themselves. So thet sold up and moved to Broadstone (Poole BC).

You fears from the papers look to be on hold today, ASX saw Tou rise , I am now in profit over there , and we seem to be doing well on AIM today as well. Hopefully the tip of an iceberg is showing and the water levels will reveal a huge pyramid when they drop.

Have written a consolidation workbook for IG which has been fun. They show the sterling equivalent on my AUD deals but don't make it clear what is included in there. FX trading commission is not but they produce a wonderful set of historical spreadsheets which makes it possible to workm out. It has cost me £79 in fx commission on £15,750 deposits which are now in ASX shares. Still have over a fiver in GBP left which will cover for my next AUD transaction fee. Thought about selling TOU last night and putting in CBA for the dividend. TOU was rising and CBA was falling. Would have lost a tiny amount on TOU to buy only a few dozen CBA shares - so gave it a miss! And was rewarded with a price rise on TOU. Up to 12c at one point - maybe the closing price even.

No obvious trend on ASX G, 11.2c to 11c to 11.5c - normal fluctuations - let's hope the FTSE is the same eh?

Much better than counting tablets for a death, I guess.

Commonwealth Bank could be an option for you - not Europe or the UK - so hopefully disocciated from Brexit?

After seeing Jaguar/Rover are investing heavily in electric vehicles and battery production at a current Jag site, it was sounding upbeat for once .... one step forward - two steps back ....

I wonder if it is best to deposit my savings with CBA , or buy their shares? Over 5% on dividends but capital at risk? Or , from what you are saying , 1.6% in UK ISA and the capital might also be at risk? Most worrying is we won't have a chancellor worth a fart thing whatever sort of govt we are doomed to get! The govt guarantee of 85k won't be worth anything either?

Interesting personal view from Jim Glickenhaus (over on LSE) whose long term target for SXX is "150p" based on earnings/share of 30p at production. He hardly ever posts but is a real person and a long term extremely large personal investor in SXX. I have wondered why he bothers to make comment on a BB but I put it down to him being an egalitarian open minded American who is comfortable with social media. I have some respect for his comments.

I think this can now be said to have better prospects than a 50/50 gamble. I have been following this share/company for quite a while and the story/history is an interesting one and which reflects the evil forces of big business, dirty tricks, somewhat blinkered "environmentalists" and bigoted "jobs worth" officials in public service....

For those new to this share, the company has, it is said, probably the biggest polyhalite (natural fertiliser) resource in Western Europe and a fertiliser which is proven in a number of trials to be very effective for farming uses. It has already been able to "forward sell" on a provisional basis most of its projected mine output for the first years of production -- contingent on the mine being built. The planning permission for the (all but invisible) underground mine to be built on the edge of the National Park in an area that has known mining for generations including most recently mining for alum along the coast (and where the Park itself promotes its mining history as one of its tourist attractions) has been the contentious issue in this project.

The previous attempt to submit a planning application for the mine was scuppered by an adverse report from AMEC who were engaged by the Park Planning Dept as advisors. It is quite instructive to note that AMEC had and has huge and lucrative contruction contracts with the large potash cartels of North America. If allowed to mine, Sirius would be producing fertiliser of equivalent nutrient value for very roughly less than half the costs incurred by the N American cartels.

The reformulated planning application submitted this year by Sirius has already been approved by one of the two Planning Committees whose approval it needs, the outstanding one being from the N York Moors Park Planning Ctte. This meeting is scheduled for 30 June 2015 and the Planning Officer's report to the Planning Committee pre meeting is expected to contain an "Open" recommendation which means it is left entirely up to the Committee to decide whereas I believe the previous (draft) report last year was likely to have argued for a refusal by Committee. Sirius have indicated that in the event the application is refused by the NYMoors committee they would (as they are entitled to) put in an appeal to the Secretary of State.

Make no mistake though, the actual building of a mine (if approved) will take 3 years and positive cash flow will not take place till then but the prospects ... and incidentally the share price ... are going up.

Gertfrobe, in a similar news clip (how do they do that, type of thing) one I saw years ago it was much further - 18 miles I think, way out under the North sea. If their polyhalite seam is only 7km they are in clover.

15lux, back in 2015 ICL testified that there is no demand for polyhalite anywhere in the world, and , as a gesture of good will, Sirius paid for a study that the North Yorkshire planning authority could not afford. NY chose Amec to produce it. At the time most of us, including our board, were fairly certain this was going to get permission - plain sailing! And then ICL and Amec put the skids under us, trillions of lorries, no demand, nothing positive in sight! We withdrew our application because it looked doomed! The application was from a full sail wind approach, we never planned for the doldrums - the setback was a total surprise!
