Hmmm, good effort Jackal , but clearly difficult territory.

TLOU made it very clear that their options were not tradeable, or some of us might have sold them in case there was a pandemic choking the life out of start up businesses and blue chip companies when the price was right.

Without the pandemic , I dare say the option price would have looked very favourable by now. Stagnation caused the options likely 'OTM' and imho a decent lawyer could make the case for an extension based on the lost period of 2 years or or more.
In the 30 years you mention, how many worldwide pandemics was there?
As for DD , TLOU also made it very clear we could take the options at any time up the expiry date, so there is nothing to investigate there.

I'll be honest here, I simply do not see any difference between the issue that gave rise to the options and the options themselves. They most definitely were ,and are, being handled on my behalf by my brokers. I paid TLOU through my brokers, and received both my placing and my options in my account with my brokers. The ones I bought are on both ASX and LSE , as are my options (valued at zero) but if someone decides to give TLOU 4.4p or 8c for their options rather than give an unknown speculator less money for more shares then that would be my business! The options cash benefits the company and therefore all shareholders. The get rich brigade only benefits the get rich brigade if they are a bargain basement price.

During my boy scout days, we had bob a job week! One old biddy , had a scout do her gardening for the whole day, and then gave him a bob (5p). Good business perhaps. That scout did agree! My late young brother (died aged 21 from a motorcycle crash) came home from that old biddy's house at lunchtime and said he was expecting a good reward for his and his friend's labours. He never went back after I told him what she'd done previously.

On the other hand, I once received 5 bob for NOT cleaning a guy's motor car one year , was he a buffoon or a blooming nice bloke?

TB's description "dead dog" seems to match paragraph 4 because we were given one closure date rather than a series of dates.

Whether ASX rules should stop LSE options being extended is another thing.
It would be very unfair on ASX holders, but you could say ,the staus quo is unfair on LSE holders and maybe BCE holders if there are any with options. You'd think so - especially the pension fund whose 1/6th could be sizeable?

SM may make all these considerations irrelevant if they produce a working prototype in time. Would that encourage pre-Covid prices?

IMHO, our options were an insurance policy against the funds being held up indefinitely. Now TLOU are funded TLOU don't need that options cash!!

Funds + no dilution v Dilution + option's cash ....... I think I know which TG preferred! And if it went against him he'd have looked like a good guy?

I have kept 4 accounts on the go purely because I could not keep options in an ISA , so I have 2 ISAS and 2 Nominee accounts ..... and as you know I am subject to holding charges at IG though the combined total is high enough to be exempt.

Closing my nominee accounts now would guarantee we are in the money by June/July ! So I guess my hopes lie with SM giving us brilliant news of the prototype to raise the price enough.

If it does , we can sell our 2p shares for 4.4p+ and 8c+ to fund a buy back at 4.4p and 8c. Something I was trying to avoid until TLOU's decision today!!!!

Py, I found two articles which supported the concept of an extension.
1. A developer had a 10 year option on "building" land, and had it extended to 15 years through the courts. £20k was payable to the landowner I think. Probably the reason for the court case?
2. Employees were offered options by their employer and the main concern for extending the option date seemed to involve capital gains tax liabilities rather than the actual process.
3. BOTH were extended.

Our options were intended to incentivise us into taking up the placing they were associated with, so they have fulfilled its purpose.
How will TLOU react to that fact?
Another question is whether options can be resurrected at an appropriate time so our current entitlement is retained.

The pandemic is responsible in part (imho a very large part) for the OTM (out of the money) position we look to be heading for - which be grounds to extend the closing date surely?

TLOU has never been a chat room.
SXX however diverted my attention away from my lovely wife's demise from stage iv cancer through 2012 to 2018. It was a more interesting mix of long-term shareholders , replaced by a group of money-grabbing sharks at TLOU! There are some notable exceptions of course , and it is amongst that group that I have learned anything about the person behind the name. MM and BTS in particular.

After I left work in London, and returned to live full time in Dorset, my life was my wife, grown-up kids, our dogs, bridge,football and my shares.

My boys, Poppy and TLOU remained until this football season.
I fell out with my daughter who I have not seen since the funeral, my bridge club was knocked down and rebuilt as a retirement home after the owner retired, and I surrendered my season ticket at AFC Bournemouth! All very regrettable.

The Wessex bridge club had over 2000 members and had 3 sessions a day, 7 days a week!!

After AFCB won the Championship and were promoted to the Premier League - the number of applications for season tickets exceeded the capacity of the ground by miles!!!

The club froze the list of existing season ticket holders , who are not allowed transferred them to friends or family under any circumstances. Some of them are dead or unable to go , but still buy their tickets funnily enough.

Unallocated seats are sold on qualifying dates proportional to the number of tickets you manage to buy during the season. The more you buy , the earlier you qualify to buy tickets in advance. I was added to that list this season and have accumulated 21 credits so I now have tickets for all our remaining home fixtures. It remains to be seen if next season I return to zero points or a higher number.

To give people a chance, tickets are only available a few weeks in advance for the highest points holders.

My other interest, is to keep my brain active , which this site definitely does not!
My search engine is a waste of time looking at the current content here so I wish you all the best and I'll increase my tablets whilst watching the underdogs fight for their lives in Ukraine!!! Nothing is important to this board except for the sp for the money grabbers!

After Abramovich pledged all the proceeds from the sale of Chelsea FC to a Ukraine disaster fund , and the cancellation of all his loans to the club, I thought we were being too harsh on him. I felt that quite strongly !

On Sunday, my son and his German girlfriend treated me to Sunday lunch and gave me his old Iphone. She is from Hamburg and what she had to say changed my mind on Roman completely though he has been very honourable regarding Chelsea if he cannot renege on his offer now he is sanctioned.

Apparently Putin and Roman both had their yachts in Hamburg but before the invasion took place, Roman moved Putin's yacht out for him , and then he followed suit on his own boat at some stage.

No wonder he looks so sad - I cannot imagine what torment he is going through - but lord knows if he getting his just deserts for a criminal past.

My football club is owned by a Russian - his history is a mystery - I am wondering whether we are soon to find out. He bought a house in Sandbanks from the English owner of the Cherries , and was interested to hear about that. He bought a large proportion of the club from Eddie Mitchell , before buying him out of club and home (a cool £11m) , and turning us into a Premier League team for a while.
The Premier League is possible again next year if our manager stops playing his favourite players instead of mine. Zemura and Anthony on the left is so obvious to most fans. Anthony was brought on for the last few minutes at right back ..... what planet is he from???? If he had Hurst and Peters at their prime he'd put one of them in goal no doubt???

Ryan Fraser and Callum Wilson together were another pairing - now both at Newcastle where Fraser was useless until Eddie Howe rejuvenated him! If Wilson can stop being another sicknote - his goal tally should improve dramatically for sure. He was injury prone with us - usually major injuries that took him out for long periods.

I was bit worried about my electricity and gas prices when I put in my meter readings yesterday! My account balance reduced from £690 credit to £34 credit!

Whizzer, I have always said that people do not visit sites that are not dynamic!
Personally, I feel I am wasting my time when I visit a site that has not changed since the previous view or views , especially if it goes on for days on end.

It was my initial justification for posting so often (Google and other search engine optimisers do not like static pages. So Granny's photos from the 1940's will get nowhere near the top pages, will not be viewed as a consequence, and down the list they go!!!!

Testing my own search engine on epics other TLOU has erased the distraction of certain unwanted TLOU chat , and I have progressed quite well this week, in between coverage of Ukraine related news.

If I was in charge, I would issue visas to all Ukraine speaking mothers and children who are unaccompanied by a man!
