Bcos only companies with decent long term prospects can do semi decent convis. Remember, the convi amount/tranches would have to be paid back at maturity and the coupon(hurr £200m ish 7% coupon x2 yearly) You need a convi share conversion price too ... hurr permissible convi is around 48p (no chance at the mo then) You get the convi cash in but will it ever be repaid in say a 2 yr maturity period. You.re stuck with iffy rights issues, but if results from k3/4 look canny ...zero ifs/buts ... you never know in 2 years time.

Sipp ... I was just wondering if any of the marine traffic chaps like Wessex might be able to tell us when the name Algeceras was inputted into the navigation system. Could this give us a timeline to to the recognition of the first issue? Clearly post Malta? But did they know pre-Malta? How long before? Just speculating ... just trying to get an explanation for past sp action ...might be handy for the future.
