Someone on this board suggested earlier that IRV will struggle to service debt through income which i struggle to understand. My understanding is that we need around £30M to service approx. £600M debt @ 5% interest (not sure what is the actual cost for 5% looks sensible to me). Out gross profit is expected to be around £100M, therefore I struggle to understand how we are unable to service our debt. The real risk seems to be cost overrun and liabilities from EfW projects which is unknown to everyone so far.
in my personal view after all the noises, and share price collapse. Lets see how long they are goinf to wait before releasing the NEWS good or bad. I was thinking recent retrace could be on account of FCA investigation which must be nearing completion as its been almost 6 months since it was launched. Didn't have clue it could due to extra funding required, as we were told financing is sorted until 2021. Fundraising was always on horizon but my thinking was it could be towards the end of 2021 at much higher SP. If we need extra money now then looking at current market cap i struggle to see how we can raise meaningful capital.
I must admit one needs nerve of steel to hold these now from this point. I am kind of certain that currently equity holders will be diluted to oblivion. Now is not the time to invest any new money, and possible time to run away with whatever is left. The best time to invest would be once extra funding is sorted, if someone still believes in the business. I am both sympathize and empathize with holders having suffered very large loss myself. This along with AFREN is really death knell in my role as personal investor in stock market. Its much safer to invest through some pension funds. I wish good luck to all holders including myself as i still hold 10k shares in this POS.
My understanding is that ANS will have option to inject additional $8M to gain additional 6% share. With this additional their total investment will be $38M from initial $30M. Therefore, I am not expecting this rocket to fly into sky, but yes we can reach the height of Himalaya come January 2019
In my opinion will be how do they close out EfW projects. As far as I know target date for completion is current quarter. Once we know outcome of those ongoing contract and expected liabilities from them people will be able to put right VALUATION. until then no one really know own real value
Explains situation well with most plausible scenario for debt reduction. For some reason I was not aware of such high interest payment on debt. Can we still generate £60-80m profit after £80m in financing cost?
I have a genuine question on why most of the people think that shareholders will be diluted along the line for debt reduction. The current debt is approx £650M, and I believe that we need to reduce it to £450M by 2021 as per financing condition. We should be generating profits in the range £60-80M, and company is not going to pay dividends for foreseeable future. Can't this combined with some asset disposal should help to meet debt reduction target?
Just noticed shorts have reached 8.5%. its quite scary considering carillon went burst with 13.5%.
Where did you get this figure of £288m profit...I was under the impression.l it was in the range of £70-80M for 2017, and currently expected to be approx £50m for 2018....regarding low so I guess it's due to heavy filiation everyone is expecting...servo/capita etc have fixed their balance sheet after huge diluation...for us unfortunately we are yet to go through that pain...it's bound to happen just timing is unclear which will have a huge impact on level of diluation
Here..nothing bad has happened...it's just someone had a large holding at a healthy (more than 100%)..and he decided to bank that profit for whatever reason....on a positive side we should see that someone bought that large chunk despite huge rise in last few weeks...so definitely future is bright ..
Here for an average trader/investor like me...most of the brokers have retained their target price after today's result which ranged from 140-180...but at the same time number of shorts is not going down..it seems people are equally divided on Irv future...I may hold it for another month & if sp doesn't move in positive direction may decide to sell...level.of debt is making me nervous..
After today's result..I was kind of inclined to short it on Friday just as a hedge for a reaction like this...anyway we have no choice but to wait again till half yearly when the picture will be clearer..I must admit I don't have balls to hold here for long.
We will have steady rise towards 200p in next few months. It's not an AIM stock which generally suffers from erectile dysfunction, generally due to manipulation / pump & dump. Finance is sorted, results are out on Monday, we will have new set of investors / buyers. As such we didn't have huge gain in last few days, it's roughly 20p, so even if results are worse than expected it will hold gains due to much certain future. GLAH
After reading the story its clear authorities in USA are quicker in responding to alleged wrongdoings in UK listed Company. I am seriously considering investing in US listed companies than investing in UK listed companies. In my opinion even Australian listed Companies are little better. Another interesting point is that it seems bond holders have now realized that SEPLAT offer was much better than restructuring proposal. They screwed us all shareholders in their miscalculation. I will not be surprised if Afren's management is sued by their creditors.
Are your a complete idiot ? Afren was a FTSE listed company, and this supposedly guarantees protection against fraud. We did not invest on ponzi scheme. Our decisions were based on regulatory news releases. Of course we all understand business risk, and we all took chance for those risks. It doesn't mean company can cheat investors, if it fails due to business risks then its fine, but cheating and SYSTEMATIC DESTRUCTION OF SHAREHOLDERS VALUE IS NOT ACCEPTABLE BY ANY MEANS.
Are you here only to undermine ALAG? If so I am afraid you are late, already they have support of over 100 people.
As shares are now de-listed from FTSE soon we will lose this discussion board. If I am not wrong from past similar experiences Afren BB will be available for next 5-6months, and then it will disappear. Do we need to have some alternative platform to use after 6months, if so what this could be?
