On 17th Dec `20 Bids issued a trading update where their opening sentence said....
`Bidstack Group Plc (AIM: BIDS.L), the native in-game advertising platform, is pleased to report that, subject to audit, it is on track to exceed market expectations in respect of revenues for the year ending 31 December 2020.`
( market expectations were for £1.4m IIRC, they confirmed revenues for the year were £1.7m in a Feb update)

On 17th Dec, the day of the update, helx posted this...
Afternoon all. Very nice to hear things are on the up, but these are still overpriced at the moment unfortunately.
The share price was 6.85p at the time of his post.
By the 6th Jan `21...... 11 trading days later, the share price hit 13.7p intraday, and closed at 13p!!

Can you explain these predictions (anomalies) verses reality helx?

Wow, only 3 months ago you were avoiding this, even after predicting a raise at 2p.

`2p looks like the next level they will be raising at, unless Dramper pulls something factual out of the hat. I will be giving the next round a miss. I’m just not convinced advertisers believe in this as an actual channel that ‘works’.

Trek, are you trading the charts as well as the RNS`s, or one as opposed to the other? What constitutes your decision to sell each time?
I know it looks like this time could be a losing trade, as it stands, but what is your decision making process? I love this stuff, it can be very lucrative!
I`m a chart trader as well as an investor and have a very low average here, I usually buy the dips on my long term holdings but have missed opportunities to sell and buy back cheaper, so just curious as to your final decisions to hit the sell button.

A good way to assess sentiment is to look at the chart, and it has clearly turned positive this week with a 30% rise on volume of 72m for the week, most of which happened in the last 3 days of trading....when the normal daily average is c10m.

Thats the most important thing, how the market participants perceive whats going on rather than how any individual assesses the situation.

Opinions are like a**holes, everybody has one, but the opinion of the market is obviously where the overall sentiment lays as a big picture view.

`m a long term holder here, and yes I am getting excited...at this price!

ECR have been accused of being a lifestyle company for the board members in the past, with no real plans other than buying new licenses and just keep drilling at a snails pace.

Thats not who thy are, they have focused in on their best areas and concentrated resources to prove what they have.
The reason for excitement is the region they are operating in.
The Victoria Gold region is proven to be a high gold producing area, one of the worlds major gold provinces, and ECR operate pretty much slap bang in the middle of it in geographical terms.
They have plenty of cash, even after paying for the new property, plenty of targets to drill, plenty of data about their license areas with gold showing, at varying grades and quantities, in every assay report to date in their main sites...so they know its there, its just a matter of showing the structures and how much is there.

A company in this situation they are currently in, with all the indications that they are going flat out to accelerate their progress on the ground via their own drilling machines and operational bases, in the geological region they`re in...has to be undervalued at £19m market cap compared to some of their peers.

The cherry on the cake for me though is that we already have a 7km section of the
Dimmocks Main Shale, which is 25m wide, and to date we`ve only drilled 17 holes covering 300m of it.

I think Craig Brown has played a blinder... whilst taking a lot of flack over the last 12 months or so.
He got schtick for raising funds via the placing in April, and then more criticism for talking about the discussions regarding a JV only for it to then recede in to the background, albeit because of reasons outside of his control....the pandemic restrictions and the Aussie Govt being delayed in some of their processes, like issuing licenses.
He has done deals to ditch some of the less favourable sites in Argentina and the Avoca, Moormbool and Timor, raising more funds along the way, to focus more on Creswick and Bailieston....a very good move in my book.

Raising the bank balance has been the key to the progress we are now seeing.

I can honestly say that I`ve been involved in buying and selling shares, and investing in many many companies over the years, and have not seen many companies put raised funds to such good use as ECR have.
Buying two drill rigs, securing licenses, establishing a new operational facility in Bendigo which includes more than 1,000 square meters of shed, office and space for storage and maintenance of the first rig and other equipment, which is within easy driving distance of both the Bailieston and Creswick projects.
They have experts on the ground working around the clock on an aggressive drilling campaign, and now announced the purchased a 16 acre property which sits bang in the middle of their existing licence area, to be used as an operational base for now, but in the future can be developed as a site for the decline access to existing, and potential, vein mineralisation.

Bravo Craig Brown, your strategic deployment of funds, and your vision for success is becoming clearer now.
His bargaining power in any future JV discussion gets stronger by the week, and he`s obviously not a puppy that just rolls over when the big boys come knocking.
He knows how valuable ECR`s licenses, and now assets, are...and the price just went up again for any future negotiations.

I like the way Alan Green says that he also `suspects` that the upcoming drill results are good and thats the reason they have taken on this purchase of the property.

About 9 months or so ago Tesla`s share price valued the company at around 128 x earnings, and it was estimated that at that price-to-earnings ratio it would take 1600 years to meet that valuation.

Its a concept known using words like potential and sentiment, also FOMO can play a part....everyone else is buying so I`m going to join in!

Its not the same as calculator and slide rule valuations for geeks, bean counters and advisory account holders at the Brokers!

Maybe you don`t understand the difference.

Fair points Nickqj about just going by fundamentals and RNS`s, but RNS`s only come along periodically with most companies, so charting then becomes more relevant in between...support resistance etc.
I have studied the charts and technical analysis for a couple of decades, and NEVER buy or sell without consulting the chart first, it just gives a better chance of buying the dips, or selling near resistance.
Each to their own, but understanding charts has definitely given me an advantage over the years.
Have a look at the green line here on the ECR chart, you can see how many times the sp has reacted to the 2.4p level, up or down (support or resistance) ...it can`t just be a coincidence, they are `pivot` points.

Torreaguas, well not many people take notice of charting particularly on AIM stocks.
But basically any one of the three `signals` I`ve pointed to would cause the charting fraternity to at least have a look, but when you get three they`ll do a double take and research why its happened.
They are essentially regarded as barriers where the price has reacted negatively to in the past, but this time they`re all falling at the same time...at the moment!
They are more significant if accompanied with heavy volume, which is why I added the volume figures.
Also there looks to be a `double bottom` at around 1.45p-1.50p, previously bouncing off it on 22nd July.
If that pattern completes it would take the sp to 2.4p ish, but the first resistance from here would be 2p. If that goes then 2p could be the new support level.

Early days I know, but in charting terms its a good sign, after all we have been in oversold territory for a good while.
Just need some good assays now to underscore the move, but suffice to say things are looking better.

Also good volume yesterday and today.
