addicknt, I use a plethora of useful information, fundamental, technical, sentiment, and the psychology of the masses. Each potential investment/trade or sell decision has to be done with all known information at that time.

Its the known, the unknown, the known unknown, and the unknown known that has to be deciphered into the sentiment, the uncertainty, and the uncertain certainty that drives the decision making process.

So basically this mornings RNS threw a hand grenade into the mix for the share price here, short term, so the greedy short term traders thought...this is not going to decide anything any time soon, so its time to take to the side lines while the price finds its level.

Todays level is 3% lower, so the market is negative solg in the short term.

ps, to all those that say its only a small % fall so far, it all depends on how much skin you have in the game...so if you`ve got 250k shares for example, then you could be looking at a fall equal to the price of a nice second hand car for your daughter or son!

addicked, you seem to be confusing predicting the future with reacting to the present. So using charts to assess which way price might go is not the same as reacting to new news!.....a bit like Theresa May, you have to be on the balls of your feet and roll with the punches!

earthling, hindsight is a wonderful thing, like the hindsight of me saying early this morning that the price will fall!

Strider, CNR is backed by a significant billionaire, James Mellon, as well as the world bank!!...and have no problems bringing the required cash in to the company, so no worries on that. The toll refining early production deal is on the table and ready to be signed, so you don`t think that the likes of JM would let this one slip through his fingers..would you?

So now back to Solg, oh dear, looks like mid price is now 35.55p, so down 1.3p on the day...so far!
Don`t forget that the chart is now going to look very negative tonight so probably going to instigate more selling tomorrow going in to the weekend.
My `suggestion` that price will fall doesn`t just apply to todays trading...just in case you were unsure, its still open for selling tomorrow at 8 am.

The market OBVIOUSLY didn`t like the RNS otherwise price would have gone up!

CNR looking great thanks, early production with toll refining using another miner with spare capacity deal is on the table, so most likely going in to production way before Solg, cash is king!

You really should open your mind to how the sentiment of the market reacts to confusing news...its called uncertainty, and we all know how the stock market reacts to uncertainty, or should do if you`re putting too many eggs in one basket!

Thanks for clearing that up munchbox, it does look like all the ducks are lining up and the program for completing the advanced work contract must be due as per the timelines previously agreed.
I`m looking to get back in here after selling at the time of the interim results in Sept, the price today is almost half what I sold them for so looking too attractive to miss considering they have since raised the £900k (or so) that they wanted and a positive update re Gib must be close...as you allude to.
The only concern is that the company are quite poor at communicating income to shareholders, which doesn`t mean they aren`t getting enough, just that its frustrating, and that there seems to be a big seller for whatever reason.

I sold out of Solgold this morning due to some complications and probable delays to the `takeover` which seems to have been going on forever so have some freed up funds ready to go, so the seller here maybe a blessing for the likes of myself to take advantage of.

Haven`t hit the buy button yet because price still seems to be falling, but the finger is hovering for the first sign of a reversal.
They must be due a reasonable payment for completing the advanced works contract so any mention of how much in the update RNS could send this back in to double figures.

pinotnoir, that`s as maybe, but there have also been a lot of traders/gamblers getting on board for the `imminent` takeover that has been talked about ad infinitum, and those that want exposure to the new takeover price are already invested, hence the recent drop in volumes.

Price could drop purely on impatience.

Provided SolGold does not identify information suggesting that the business, affairs, prospects or assets of Cornerstone have been materially impaired, SolGold intends to mail a takeover bid circular to the holders of Cornerstone Shares (as required under applicable Canadian securities laws) in late February or early March 2019. So 5 months before this is sorted out!

I see a share price fall coming as investors and traders take their funds off the table while this uncertainty persists.

No takeover bid for Solg anytime soon and Cornerstone sound like they`ve been digging their heels in on previous `discussions` about this topic.

Markets that don`t move higher strongly on this kind of delay usually fall because of uncertainty and negative short term sentiment.

Funny how the bounce coincides exactly with the daily stochastic signal line crossing over the MACD line though isn`t it?

At least its a different sort of topic to observe than just regurgitating the same old Solg investment case copy and paste for the 19th time! Guess what, it has absolutely not one iota of influence on anybody or any part of Solg`s market price, never did and never will. Too much speculative opinion and the longer you keep posting `strong upcoming newsflow` the less credibility it has, because you`ve been saying the same for too long.

In fact the more you copy the same post on here it has the opposite effect to the one you want and just makes you look more and more desperate!

I`ll make a prediction on gold, price will fall to the previous $1304 resistance (red dotted line) before becoming support and bouncing higher!

Very confident that MC can negotiate an attractive offer to a mining company that has spare capacity in the current climate, its a win win win all round, I mean what CEO of a gold producer wouldn`t want to increase its gold reserves in a rising POG environment...pay Condor what is agreed then stockpile it for future sale when they see the time and POG is right.
It`s a no brainer really, and with MC confirming that this is their strategy from here in, and that a deal is on the table ready to be signed, I wouldn`t be surprised if a deal is signed relatively quickly, catching the market by surprise and causing a scramble for shares and finally getting the re rate that long term Condorians have been patiently waiting for...and deserve for their loyalty.

I like the way Mark Childs comes across, and the Nic Govt seem to like him too, as well as being desperate for some royalty income.
Could be a very good year for the CNR share price, specially if the Elliot Wave Theory for gold plays out, as described in detail in this very interesting forecast on Kitco.....

...that the market doesn`t seem to mind this update, in fact the rate of buying has already smashed the 50 day volume average inside the first two hours, and that includes the 2.6m in November!

So why all the doom and gloom, people on here talking like its time to don the funeral threads as if the company just released a major profit warning!!

Alright, price isn`t taking off like a rocket, but it isn`t going down the toilet either.

Its seems, by Nero`s post, that the toll mining discussions are `advancing` so still well and truly alive, maybe the market can see optimism where others can`t!
