Okay, Thanks Get2bidnis, and after some further research, and with hindsight, the savvy investors may have sliced as we hit 9p, and buying back in now why the market makers are holding the price down....

Not sure I've ever made as much of a percentage as I am sitting on at the moment! haha, it's a good feeling. but as someone who got bit by the SXX nonsense, I am somewhat wary of being bitten again. - but appreciate the sentiment of this board, and it's long term view on GGP....

Would you ever sell a share in profit, and buy back in to lock the profits, - I cant seem to find a definitive on this.

My gains have me nervous, if one sells, and buys back that's that money safe right?

Not looking for "advice" - just if/what you have done previously, so I can make sense of it all.

If you were up by +50% would you ever consider selling all/part of the holdings, and then immediately buying back in?

There are hints or the odd reference to it, but I can't seem to fathom the math. Happy to sit tight and ride the coaster, but if i can throw my hands up, and have a larger slice of the pie, then why not...

Not looking for a yes you should, or no you shouldn't just an idea of the math/theory behind it.

If you use a well-known search engine, and look for "Market Maker Speaks Out: "Ways of a Market Maker - on reddit, you will find a very well informed post of what is going on, - essentially is a way the MM's communicate, the numbers mean something, it also means it adds to the volume, which shows up on all the day traders charts, and it can start a short term feeding frenzy.
