IMV this will be a roller coaster ride short term, a day traders dream if you know what you are doing! Sadly part of the reason for this is we don’t have people who can negotiate coupled with career politicians & bad leadership. However on the positive the weather here has been wonderful, better I gather Europe which is even more stifling. ATB Bottled

The SP often drops on earnings take a look over the last year or two with Kaz, happened pretty much every time when it went from £3 to £11, (now 6.25). BTW there results which should be good are out on the 16th so no doubt it will get a right old caning.

This being the case one then has to see if one of the other chaps on this board can translate it correctly, which I am not sure if they do as it is so very tricky to understand.

LONDON (Reuters) - Mining and trading firm Glencore (L:GLEN) on Wednesday reported adjusted first-half core profits of $8.3 billion (£6.42 billion), up 23 percent from a year earlier and earnings before interest and tax from its trading division up 12 percent at $1.5 billion.The marketing EBIT was in line with analysts' forecasts and the overall EBITDA was just below a consensus forecast of $8.5 billion. CEO Ivan Glasenberg said market conditions were likely to remain volatile and the focus remained on "creating value for shareholders through the disciplined allocation of long-term capital."
