Sounds real easy when you say 1moz quickly. And ignore the work and capital necessary to deliver it.
The Doc is going to be a billionaire if he isn't already.
Incredibly naive
Winni - give it a rest and stop being a nkob mate.
Reality - one recent failed rights issue. Right in the midst of the next one for a larger amount - and if it isnt successful, then there is a major problem here.
That - no matter how much you in your infinite wisdom wish to deny it - is a FACT. That you chose to ignore the blatantly obvious RISK now is your choice. But please, stop this pathetic grandstanding !!
There is no good news anywhere currently about diamond mining or diamond pricing. At least none that i have read anywhere. Sorry but it is just really hard to see where BOD can generate the wow factor news /progress that is going to be needed to drive up the share price meaningfully.
AGM likely to just mention the exploration work program ahead - and how 'excited' management believe the opportunity ahead is ..... Hard to get excited on this one
What is the purpose of the A$13m cash call then?
The announcement said it was for 3 things: Transmission line and substations; Drilling, field operating costs, gas gathering, generation; and Corporate expenditure and working capital.
And given this has been extended to Wednesday, 31 January 2024 to allow extra time for Eligible Shareholders to take up their entitlements (am surprised nobody referenced this yet) - that suggests money is not rushing in the door ....... Still this cash call is 98 oer cent about Doc and Pension Fund money being committed. If not, last man turn the lights out please.
Anyone with a brain would and should be nervous !!
As for first revenue - get past this cash call before that becomes a valid topic for conversation.
Or how about TG underestimated the pathway to CBM success in Botswana. Yes, his previous success was a big positive (at previous points in time) for this project - that doesnt carry same weight now given Tlou is having to deliver actual power. Something he has never done before.
And where I know we will disagree - he may be the brains on Tlou board and the magnet for attracting funding from the likes of Doc BUT Tlou was largely his company in the beginning but he has lost control of it. He now reports to the Doc - and since he brought in the Doc, Tony has to stick with it /us. His supposed hat-trick is IMO unlikely to show the financial success of Arrow and Sunshine. The 'enlightened' ones here know this; any dropping in who are 'unelightened' well they dont really count in Tlou's future success, so can be ignored.
Is probably a catch-22 situation now. The Doc was attracted by TG and MM previous success and credentials, and he was likely aware the journey to financial success would require much more than his initial investment. Now that he has committed so much of the recent investment capital, would or could the Doc ever contemplate replacing management to manage his investment better? Probably not; so just as the Doc and TG are stuck with each other, I am stuck with having to read your scattergun posts (usually just you trying to validate your own thinking) whilst you are stuck with me and having to read my incredibly well-informed narrative on Tlou's past struggles and maybe why they have not yet crossed their rubicon. Just yet anyways.
Tidd83, buzzard stubble, Minor Miner, Ftang ftang, and so many others ...... oh if only i could remember their names.
Question - when does company expect to inject first power into the grid? Lets focus on when the company generates its first power and therefore first revenue. That will be a major milestone achieved for sure. There had better not be any more excuses from management on delays, problems, missed targets...... Not sure you guys can take much more such news here.
Let me help you then. Your focus is exclusively on Tlou and its success. The storyline to Tlou is and always has been brilliant. But management oversold the delivery of the project - their more recent announcements have completely throttled back on over-hyping, over-promising etc. They have learned their lesson.
The extent to which they were directly responsible for Tidd and Tidd-like promoters back in 2016 will never be known. But it seems impossible to believe they did not have some kind of guiding hand in feeding that particular PR channel to promote matters. I KNEW it was BS then - and I posted repeatedly so at the time. I was the lone voice - but I was the lone voice that was correct, no matter how much you dont want to accept this.
If you look back to my first posts under BOTS_PROJECTS, you will see I am interested in Botswana based projects (mainly) as I finally saw signs that the current Presidential regime was getting the Bots economy into some sort of half decent shape. Ie the building blocks for economic progress in Bots were being put in place - not simply talked about (which is what had been happening there for far too many years) - and my view on this gets stronger with each passing Quarter.
But it is still Africa, still Botswana, still a country of a huge land mass and small disparate population which makes delivering large infrastructure projects even more difficult. And the Govt themselves say they do NOT have money - refer Eric Molale recent interview on developing railways across the country. All Govts there are cash-strpped and they want Private Sector money to come in and deliver the investment for them. BUT, Govt cannot give them free reign to deliver these projects; instead they unnecessarily meddle in dictating or mandating local labour content or use of citizen empowered entities to deliver aspects of the projects that invariably they are not skilled to deliver. However Govt isnt budging on this aspect of labour content (perahps or probably correctly so becasue how otherwise will the locals improve their work skills sets).
This all leads to uber-SLOW progress of projects there still - this still affects Tlou and Sekaname and others. My posts are often construed as negative on Tlou. That is becasue you guys are blinkered and read or interpret in that vain. My posts way more often than not are referencing articles in press talking about progress in Botswana - and invariably those words are published when projects are incepted or early stages. It takes anything and everything an eternity to progress in Bots - but there is money there to be made. And that is where my interest is.
It could be Tlou, Kavango, Sandfire, Tsodilo, Giyani Metals, Bots Diamonds (except I am uber negative on diamond sector, which is actually bad signal for Bots economy but i digress) and a host of other smaller exploration plays.
Not my fault you are incapable of discussing wider influences on Tlou n Bot
So you never tire of pointing out Winni. Be great if you made a contribution or observation about Tlou .....
PS Tlou has performed like a dog for years. Many of my posts might (if your brain was ever open to be receptive) help you and others realise quite why Botswana is a tough gig. But it is of course easier to criticise me, since that deflects from Tlou and its probelms. Which are all still there btw.
Dont read this as you will only criticise me, again, for posting something potentially negative. Again. But the physical infrastructure and the business processes to receive large injections of electricity into the BPC owned and operated distribution network are simply nowhere near fit for purpose operating at scale. Maybe in time that will improve (well it has to) but this is another challenge that IPPs (like Tlou and Sekaname) will have to navigate. And this is where the current reality that BPC are a dreadfully slow payer will become horrendously loud.
But most donkeys here wont even appreciate the problems ahead.
Name says it all ........ Keep encouraging brad then - kill the board with irrelevant, mindless carp. be happy
What complete and utter garbage !!
This is a message board for Tlou Energy. It is not a message board for the personal life of Bradsmith. But you guys would rather gob off at my posts trying, at least, to be thought provoking about the problems, challenges and occasionally successes facing the company. Whilst remaining silent reading about often totally inappropriate posts and messages in Brad's posts.
The "Chronicles of Brad" needs to stop !!
Good example of why Moagi is not trustworthy. He was, probably still is, the primary cause why this company has wasted 2 years in Botswana over a totally bogus approach under Moagi.
Another potentially fascinating event ahead is release of Molale and Masisi memoirs. I suspect these will come out slightly ahead of when Khama gets very public and vocal in his criticism of Govt from his exile in SA. I doubt any or many of you here think much of this matters - and for Tlou, maybe it doesnt - but for the speed of economic progression there, getting Khama into a straight-jacket is priority number 1.

Brad I have often wished you would find a way to exit this chat group. I am glad you are still with us, and I wish you a speedy recovery ahead. At your age, i suspect it will take time - so please, take the time !!
SBADH Tree
I would be on the same page as you here Swak. There has been all the blah blah over the years with expert this that and the other etc. But Dave C is highly regarded within his fieldd so that made me pay attention. And the Purebond and new Chairman dropped in serious dosh - which is dependent on drill and commodity success. Rather than recovering via slow bleed of salaries and/or contracts with their private companies etc.
So i am hugely optimistic that, this time, the story makes sense and hopefully in time comes good !
If Purebond are in at 1p, then they will see success at 5p. It is easy enough to keep track on the math.
Complain and criticise - what a national treasure you are mate.
Common misconception that most here think my posts are always tainted with some negative connotation. Ho hum, who cares.
But interesting point has been raised - how is BPC going to pay for 600MW coal and 120MW solar (with lots more to follow no doubt) generation? BPC cannot pay its current contractors on time for work done on their distribution network (this is a fact !) - but then they have 2-3 years to figure out how to finance the cashflows.
However, i will say this now (and try not to repeat it all year long) - progress on infrastructural projects this year will be more talk than action due to elections in October. There will be delays for no obvious reasons - mind you, that happens anyways in Bots. Word also is that Moagi is a dead man walking, will lose his seat and therefore lose his Cabinet position. He has a thirst and is also very needy in other respects. Hmmm, not to be trusted.
Another naive post from another impatient punter inhabiting this board and the commodity space. Would it have been better if the company had not tweeted this post? Coz then you would have had nothing to complain about.
What I do believe PC needs do here is clearly inform shareholders and interested parties Why the progress anticipated to happen in last 6-9 months of last year appears to have stalled. What is latest on pozzolan (the company's prize trophies); has the bulk sample been processed or still sitting (I assume not processed since no update on results - bad form if processed and bad results and market not informed); any progress on developing or selling any of the many other projects; ....
Come on PC - time to front up to all your shareholders; not just the ones supporting you .....
