With so much invested by the CEO I’m tempted to think he knows something we don’t. The main reason I took the plunge along with massive undervaluation and significant change in modus operandi in terms of deploying owned rig are very positive developments.

If spud is today they can’t release that they’ve spudded (past tense) until Monday. A tweet would be nice, but this may also appear Monday.
Nevertheless, I am assuming that they’ll be drilling by mid-day today in line with the previous RNS.

Friday is the beginning for Zen. I’m happy with the attitude to take things slowly and make sure the drill team safe. As for the punter who sold out for Lekoil in Nigeria, makes zen look like a safe bet.

Arguably this shouldn’t necessarily be price sensitive info, value of company will not be affected by commencing the drilling.
For all we know they could have been drilling for several days now. My guts tell me this is the case.

Personally I think this is superficial info to mollify the T20 traders, who will be gone once they have their 20% profit anyway.
You may as well tweet the porta-loos being installed.
Suggest this implies the spud isn’t going to happen for the next few days. But more evidence they’re getting on with it. So an oppo for investors to load up.

I’m not sure I entirely agree about ZENs tardiness. Look at the unusable equipment and infrastructure left by the soviet era. Everything needs to be done again since state ownership of industry leads to shoddy inefficient outcomes. Frankly I hope the soviets overlooked a lake of oil.
As for ZEN they’ve gone back to the start with this block and we’re seeing the first meaningful steps of what could grow into a cracking company.
The safe, deliberate progress is too slow for the T20 fly-by-nights. Well buy some shares or fold.

Tend to agree. Zen are manifestly getting on with the job. Move over, now we have our own rig there will be swift movement across our block (in oil drilling terms). If price stays in this zone, who knows, perhaps I’ll grab some more.
(Cash flow problems ... work won’t pay me till I’ve done some work. Terrible really????)

At the moment they won’t get taken-out. Too many unknowns about what’s actually down there, but if they start getting results to prove the resource, that’s when the interest will arise. IMO

Issuing shares to buy a rig is not dilution it’s spreadsheet asset. The company just got bigger. It shouldn’t have had any impact on the SP.
