Tricky it's worse they are just fools with too much power educated beyond their intelligence. I have been inside the bank and they are yr stereotypical guardian reading bleeding heart bunch. This is why the latest friction in the BOE model is friction costs of 20bn. The BoE assumption suppose EU friction costs are 10 times those with rest of the world. That assumption is preposterous but tell you their agenda. They can't admit the EUmperor has no clothes whatsoever.

JMO it's obvious economically we will be better out. These gravity trade models were never data backed. Comparative advantage works, even the bank of England has quietly dropped gravity trade models as their predictions are so awful. Under comparitave advantage there is no case whatsoever for EU membership and the whole fiasco shows the establishment for the idiots they truly are.
