Crowcast wrong on point 1. The EU does increase our trade deficit since EU food is more costly than world food. This is because EU food producers are less efficient than RoW. Since we can't buy food at world prices we are forced to buy from the EU thanks to wretched customs union. Naturally this inflation in food prices increases our current account deficit somewhat. Cost is born most of all by poorest in society since foidctajes up a greater share of their income.

As ever crowcast you miss the point entirely. In subsidising European farmers through cap they ruin African ones since the African farmers have a competitive disadvantage as they aren't subsidised. You seem blissfully unaware of this and continue to lecture us. There is no excuse for the disaster that is cap and African farmers are one casualty albeit it ignored by ppl like you, I wonder why?

Oxo I disagree with a lot of that, I come at things from the perspective of what works. I would say is big business I agree is almost as bad as big government and I always try to buy from local producers where possible. My issue with overly prescriptive laws around employment is it makes things very difficult for small business so we end up with a high street of McDonald and Starbucks due to mass regulation. I prefer a world is small business producing better quality product.
