Rather an odd thing to do given that the company is now performing on all fronts and beating expectations. You do what you like but the days of your modus operandi are history. Really dislike your kind if you don’t mind me saying.

2020 Final accounts out on Thursday. Must be confirmation of excellent financial and operational results for 12 months trading ended 31st December. They’ve got these out very quickly. Trading pattern and sentiment is up.

You bet they’ll be back. Serious stuff going on here IMO. Timing is now !

I used to think Boom would struggle with all the consolidation and remained independent. It the business is going from strength to strength. The podcasters which Boom are working with are obviously very happy with their returns and proven by Boom outpacing Wondery. Which is a pup and Amazon are just realising this. Someone serious is regularly buying. Just look at the trades. Think positive!

Great to see very solid support on buying. They know the near future probability.

Audioboom climbs rankings to 5(th) biggest podcast publisher in US

Audioboom (AIM: BOOM), the leading global podcast company, is pleased to announce that it is now ranked the fifth largest US podcast publisher according to Triton Digital's January 2021 Podcast Report. Since joining Triton Digital's podcast ranking service in May 2020, Audioboom has been ranked sixth.

Triton Digital rates podcast publishers based on average weekly downloads. Audioboom averaged 10.95 million downloads per week in the US during the latest reporting period, moving up one place to reach the top 5 for the first time.

Audioboom moved ahead of Wondery, which is now sixth in the rankings and was acquired earlier in 2021 by Amazon for over US$300 million.

Since joining Triton Digital's ranker, the Company has added more than 3.9 million weekly downloads - an increase of 55%.

The Triton Digital reports only measure Audioboom's premium tier of podcasts that are monetised through high-value host endorsements. More than 8,000 additional podcast channels are published by Audioboom and are monetised by programmatic advertising or subscription payments.

Audioboom is also the highest ranked international publisher in Triton Digital's Australian podcast report.

Audioboom's CEO, Stuart Last, commented: "Our improved position in the latest Triton Digital report validates the tremendous value that we are building in the business through our content-focused growth strategy. Ranking so highly, amongst an incredible set of peers, is very satisfying".

Excellent news and thx for posting poe. This conundrum of AIM not valuing Audioboom on the proper metrics is so disappointing for the reputation of the exchange. Of course it’s the traders who make the market and their blindness is a real eye opener (!).

The fact is Audioboom is now bigger, ranked higher in US and more profitable than a company - Wondery- which has been sold for $300m. It really does beggar belief!

Further consolidation in podcasting sector Triton doesn’t even produce podcasts. It measures listening and advertisements. Triton also puts Boom at 6th in USA!

Thought the price would have closed at 4.25 at least. The new investor at 4.50 is another major move in the fortunes of Boom. No one pays a 15% premium without having very good reasons. Unbelievable up side in price now.

MM reported after hours trading at £4 today.

That’s interesting. Not a bad price considering the closing price. Well done. The problem arises in not getting shares when you try to get lower than the bid!

Since the trading update a month ago the price has consistently moved up and today again reached a 3 year high. However at £3.25 it’s market cap of £50m is still a fraction of its worth of at least £100m based on sector valuation metrics. There is upward momentum as large media companies are now seeing the benefit to their business from recent podcast acquisitions. See the Spotify link below from Deano blues. Their new subscription numbers would be static without podcasting. Audio streaming is on a massive upward curve. Whether it be monthly subscription or advertising, the income is becoming attractive and important to large companies. And that’s through acquisition.
Audioboom has proved its business model over the past 3 years just look at its revenue growth and it’s now certain to be EBITDA positive in 2022.

Been in since pre IPO at 1.5p (£1.50) in April 2014 and bought consistently over 6 years. The take out could be in region of $150m (5 x 2021 revenue). This is max of course. So £7 a share is probably top price. But anything above £5.50 would be good. It’s a numbers game but in my opinion a US buyer is now stalking and good luck to them, and us, being successful.
