Was that a large buy just gone through...2.6 million share purchase? Google finance showed it as a buy on their chart. 2.56p at 11.38. Offsets some of these sells if it was. Claws and clutching comes to mind.

I make the ex-rights price at the current price 327p to be approx 280p. Is this correct as that in theory is the price this should drop to. However when MAB (pub group) announced similar rights issue the price went up (I guess so people could grab the discounted offering.) Its a strange world one goes up the other down. I'm guessing its because the pub sector is deemed to recover quicker than the travel sector when things fully open up.
Lots of sizeable buys in last 40 minutes and yet bid doesn't get taken out?

Maybe it was Elon...loose change that fell out of his pocket
From the possible 'bottom' yesterday is the tide turning. The selling at worse and worse prices seems to have stopped and in last hour or so there have been four buys of 400000-500000. Is a pattern of large buys forming?

My mistake apologies. It did intially show on the google finance line what I originally believed. You are right trying to interprete buys/sales is not always easy.
correction: google finance corrected itself and shows opposite now
If you wait 15 minutes they appear on any number of sites:

Or recently for a more instant buy/sale 'guide' google finance (at least how it appears on my browser page) shows the volume of a trade very soon after it happens by referring to the chart line at a particularly time point. I've found it to be resonably accurate.

A large buy just went through I believe. Maybe more institution buying.
Obviously the gamestop craziness is just that...crazy... but its not beyond the realms of possibility for petrofac to be targeted in the same way. A short squeeze here is entirely possible given the short intesrest here.
Remember any company covid related (testing/treatments etc) since the start of the pandemic has only needed to get a whiff of positive news in how they can benefit (help) the situation and they rocket (double/tripling and more in some cases.)
Arron Banks (a large shareholder if I remember right) back in March made the assertion that the company should be making more inroads into the application iodine (their main product) has for the prevention of covid. An article I remember stated that Banks had proposed that "the company should focus on iodine disinfectants for use against the coronavirus."
It certainly has the potential to rocket very fast, and based on past experience it is not easy to buy in quatity when it moves.

Iofina is at a low it has hit several times before over the last few years only for it to double with in months on multiple occasions. Refinaced its debt on better terms recently. Its main product is cyclical but always in demand, so I would hazard a guess that the current price is a good entry point. Just my opinion of course but it is a company I have made money on before with a similar bet.
Around 2.20pm there were two big sells (of amounts that were greater than the shares offered on the bid...shares available about 400000 and shares sold at that bid price equals more than those available.) By my estimation that should make the bid drop but it didnt. Maybe someone can explain?
If you look back to past gains they nearly always start with a 10-15% daily gain and then the following days a rocket happens. There is maybe little doubt that come the drill date approaching this will truely surge big time. My opinion of course.
