Are you stalking me? Is there no BB safe from you? lol :) Thank you for your kind comments. Although I have been in this game for over 30 years I am not a hands on trader. I tend to buy something I believe in and sit on it for years, watching it go both up and down, merge, get taken over, have RI's etc, and hopefully still be there to cash in when I eventually need the money. I NEVER offer advice on when to buy or sell, help people to understand the mechanics behind RI's, consolidations, SCRIPS, DRIPS, etc, and post the odd bit of research if I come across it before anyone else. I have managed to wind a few people up in the past, but usually only when I disagree with their biased viewpoint. Glad to see you are in a share that has made you some money, makes up for some of the ones that haven't!! I've been in this one for ages, always taken divs as new shares and taken part in a few RI's and re-organisations along the way. As ever your knowledge and research is way beyond anything that I do, that's why it is always a pleasure to read your views and those of a few other posters who simply present the facts without bias. So very different to a lot of other mainly penny share boards, where the vitriol aimed at anyone who does not tow the view that this is the next multi-bagger is at times absurd. We should set up a friendly board along with Choppy2 over on THT and a few others where we only ever have nice things to say, or don't say anything at all. I seem to have a few basket cases in my portfolio, many of which - with hindsight - I should have sold years ago as they will never ever regain their previous highs. BSKYB, PACE, RSA,TNI and PSN to name but a few. And the one that has cost me most, although I am still up on my original stake, is BT which once hit over £10 a share!!!!!! Now I'ld be happy with £2!! Still I've won more than I've lost over the years, am retired in my early 50's and won't ever have to worry about the heating bills, so can't complain. On another topic, do you plan to buy any of your £10 shares????

The Directors also believe that it is likely that there will be continued governmental support for investment in hydropower projects in this region. The Company is seeking to make a sizeable acquisition within a year of Admission, which most likely would be deemed a Reverse Takeover and therefore would require shareholders' approval. It does not intend to make any other smaller acquisitions or investments before then. The Company will ultimately aim to acquire/invest in up to 2 power-generation projects with capacity of approximately 200 megawatts. The Directors intend that the construction of such projects will be completed before 2012. The shares were issued at 25p. Looks like an announcement on a possible aquisition is imminent. Wish I had these in my portfolio!!!

Hello. Seems to be drifting on no news, think you may have to wait a while for 250p. Without any news before the year end all we can hope for is a sneaky announcement that they intend to reinstate the div.

Anyone any ideas where the bottom may be on this one?? Not a good time to be in a Spanish company denominated in Euros!!

Well if you keep saying Strong Buy for a share that's falling you are bound to be correct eventually. All I was doing was advising caution around the 85p level. Now at 70p it may well be worth a punt, but they still have problems and with no div on offer it is not an attractive proposition for many. Do not agree that there is even the remotest possibility of a takeover, and when has there ever been a takeover where 3 times the current sp has been offered? Now I think it is you who are misleading people. We'll just have to agree to disagree on this one, for the time being at least. Best of luck with your trading, and as i said before, if this share does recover it wil give my portfolio a nice little boost.

Hate to say I told you so, BUT, I told you so. Said we could see the 60's despite your Strong Buy signals. Still keep up the good work, if you keep saying 'Buy' you're bound to find the bottom soon, and then I may agree with you. Hope you haven't lost too much as we are now down 18% from your first comments. Not just a dead cat bounce, now it looks like they are trying to bury it!!!

IPR are to pay a special dividend of 92p. With the merger, or reverse takeover, of IPR and GDF SUEZ, "Closing is currently expected to occur by the end of 2010 or early 2011".The Record date for the div will be as soon as practicable after Admission, which will take place on the day of 'Closing', with the 92p div paid out within 14 days. This will be paid as cash, as the DRIP will be suspended for this payment.

Or, as has been stated on P13 of the 'Combination Circular', "The transaction has been classified as a reverse takeover for the purposes of the listing rules". After the merger existing IPR shareholders will own 30% of the enlarged company, with GDF SUEZ owning the other 70%.

The problem is you can't sell at NAV, it could be £50 for all the difference it makes. They are 75p to buy/sell, below your 'Strong Buy' recommendation.

Hope that too many people haven't lost money on your 'Strong Buy' signals!!! Did you follow your own advice - Ouch!!!

We'll have to agree to disagree on this one. You are the ramper with your 'Strong Buy' recommendations, I am the other side of the coin urging caution on a share that has failed to perform for many years. One lesson I have learned over the years is that sometimes companies fall back from previous highs never to reach them again, I just have a feeling that TNI is one of them. Personally I hope you are correct with your 150-250p predictions as it will give my portfolio a nice little boost - but I won't be holding my breath. Having worked in the advertising and press sectors I am only too aware of the problems they are facing at the moment. Excluding GMG Regional Media results the figures are not at all good, and have not been received well by the market. As for the 'dead cat bounce' I was merely commenting on the shape of the graph, if you have a more uplifting interpretation I would be gateful for your input. Unlike your 'Strong Buy' recommendation my comments were merely my observations from a long term, and suffering, investors point of view. Only one of us can be correct, and while I concede that there may well be small gains to be made from this low point for traders, I still stand by my observations that the long term outlook for TNI is bleak. Without any prospects for a div in the forseeable future this one is living on borrowed time in my portfolio. Of course, if you are right and this sleeping giant does, once again, rise phoenix like from the ashes and gets even halway to its highs of a decade ago, then I will be the first person to seek you out and buy you a very big drink. According to their last statement they had put off any UK float for the time being. Not sure, with all the uncertainty in the European banking sector that this is likely to happen in the forseeable future. As to whether you should sell now is a decision only you can make. Would you be selling at a loss? Could you invest the £14k more profitably elsewhere? Do you see the share gaining or standing still for the next six months? DYOR and best of luck.

Not sure I'm prepared to throw any more money at this one. Have a look at the 5 year share graph above, it looks decidedly like a dead cat bounce!! Not sure there is any money to be made in newsprint anymore now we are in the digital age with too many people chasing a share of the advertising revenue pie. The next time I need some money out of my portfolio I'm afraid this one is top of the list - no prospects and no div!!! Just to spite me it will probably rise and re-introduce a div within weeks of me selling!! Them's the breaks!!

You and I keep buying the stuff but the share price is going nowhere!!. We are going to have to double our spend and drag passers-by into the shops to increase their sales. Some good bargains to be had online - they've even got reduced Easter eggs!! Really fancy getting one of their hampers for Xmas. Can I let you into a little secret? You won't tell anyone else will you? My all-time choccy favourite was Cadburys Dairy Milk, I used to eat it by the shed-full. You know those stats that used to say everyone eats 10 bars a year, and people who didn't like it wondered who was eating their share, well it was me!! When the Kraft take-over was taking place I used to have arguements with people on the Cadburys BB who said the taste would change when kraft got hold of it - "Oh no it won't" said I. Well, if what I tasted last week was anything to go by, it flipping well has - and for the worse. Maybe it was a bad batch, maybe it was a batch that was made abroad, but it tasted darker and more bitter. Will try a few more bars, maybe smaller ones, before I finally give up altogether. And if I do then that can only have a positive effect on Thorntons sales. Lets all hope for good Xmas trading figures which hopefully will push this sp back over 100p and keep it there.

No concrete news on the div as yet, just their hint in the last update that they will look to re-introduce it if all goes well. If/when it is announced then we should see a little lift in the sp. Good BT figures certainly gave my portfolio a nice little boost yesterday. Today however it's carnage out there, seems this time around we've got the jitters over Ireland - hopefully we'll soon run out of countries to worry about!! So after the highs of this past week maybe it's time to turn the pc off and go and do something else for a week or two - way too much red around for my blood pressure!!!
