It certainly would be a good boost for sentiment if the Directors bought shares, although them not doing so doesnt signify any loss of faith in the prospects of the Company going forward. They probably feel the recent progress with banking, Board appointments, Contracts speaks for itself and aren't overly concerned with the way they affect the share price.
Given the actions of the two directors in the past, a more sympathetic approach might be better appreciated. However, they probably feel that focusing on the company's operations & profitability within their own timescales, would suffice to build back shareholder value & sentiment in the Company.
I did pass on the views regarding Director buys but can't force their hand on such an issue, obviously. Lamprell, as oft stated in the past, is along term hold for me as we regain profitability & the re-establishment of a healthy dividend stream. I have every confidence that will be achieved & consider this an excellent BUY at current price levels.
We also have Macro economic factors at play such as the current uncertainty regarding the US Debt ceiling negotiations, although the underlying recovery beyond any transient price fluctuation continues unabated.
Discussing static prices, I mentioned GNG here a couple of months ago as one to watch. It had a static price for a time although research clearly showed the tremendous recovery potential there. Its subsequently more then doubled in price & looks well positioned to appreciate much further over the coming months (as with TLDH & PLE).
As long as the underlying investment case is sound, which is the case for Lamprell, the price will eventually move to reflect that, hence no real anxiety with Lamprell so far - the Management are doing everything right so far to progress this operationally back towards a healthy, profitable enterprise.
