Copper price has been on the rise since the recent low point last July. Going forward the price of copper is expected to rise at 4% PA up to 2030.
So copper is not the next big thing as some of us dreamers on here like to think. This will be sold when global demand dictates, not before. So when one of the majors sees the copper reserves in their portfolio trend below the demand forecasts in the short to medium term then there will be an incoming bid for sure. This shall of course trigger a rapid rethink by the other producers hopefully triggering a bidding war, but not a certainty.
What would be a game changer is if one or two more major discoveries were added to Cascabel, then Solgold would become a “must have”.
So when can we expect a bid? If an exciting RNS drops then almost immediately. If not then when demand dictates, and that could be next week, next year, two years, more. But when it does go 70p doesn’t seem too high, but if the other targets go tier 1 then £1, £2 who knows?
Half the fun on here is making predictions based on absolutely nothing more than hunch’s.
So expect a final bid….. by BHP….. on 10th September, and the bid price……..£3.40……YIPEE!!!!!!
Now that we have Cornerstones targets as well as Rio etc etc etc why does it appear my dentist is doing more drilling than SOLG, or are we sitting on a raft of tier 1’s and are keeping it secret because we feel the mining world is not ready for it. Or is it just to facilitate more of the corporate leeching of a valuable asset
thanks for the replies but though it encourages laziness was the general consensus of those that actually own shares to vote yes or no, I’m thinking NM is probably worth backing so yes, but if the majority think no I’d need to go back and have another look. Now thinking I should have spoken to the guy from Solgolds auditors who phoned me earlier today.
Having read the resolutions some of them seem like a licence to do what you like, so what are the up and downsides of voting yes or no.....discuss
thanks schlemiel, having just read the Solgold letter I think it was actually BDO that phoned me, they are current Solgold auditors.
I’ve just received a call from a company called “Boudica”? on behalf of Solgold asking me which way I was going to vote in the AGM, saying the call had to be recorded under stockmarket rules or something, I’m a bit vague as I assumed it was a nuisance call and only paid some attention as he asked for me and mentioned Solgold. Well I’ve got 3 voting form that were going straight into the bin but now I’m definitely going to read them and maybe even use my votes.
I got 3 of these letters today, like buses etc. Somehow I feel that the possibility of being part of something good is looking better, a sometimes dubious wee company is beginning to look more and more like potentially becoming a serious medium company. Only problem is the real Brucie bonus won’t be for a few years if we do go to production, but it will perhaps be much bigger.
apologies Dlwright the smilies didn’t appear as in the preview!
who are you calling old...eh..well? you looking for trouble eh...well? not so big now are you?
????
(:
When the you look at the value of trades most days for Solg it doesn't amount to much when compared to FTSE 100 companies (obviously) , but does this mean that it is more or less likely that if a bidding war did start the potential percentage sudden rise in share price would be greater. As an example if a FTSE 100 company announced some important news the SP might go up or down 10% and that would be headline news, but is the Solg SP more agile if we get some seriously good news. I am of course talking about over a day or two, not a week or three.
Lots of interesting opinions in this thread but most of it way off topic, I believe starting a new thread is free, but would that be more interesting? Not sure. In any event 39p wasn't reached, hopefully it will sail past that tomorrow.
when this breaks through £1 we’re into NM territory....I know this for sure
Been a holder for many years now still waiting for the 1 or 2 pound a share dream to come true. If I was smart I would have sold a t 4?p a few time and bought at the lows and ended up with twice as many shares. I know if I did this I probably think twice about reinvesting and of course as soon as I sold they’d jump to £3 a share. So I just keep checking here to see whats happening.
So whats the point of this my first post? Well when I tried to check the posts I was met with a line saying I had to register, why do I need to register to read posts on a site that is stuffed full of ads? Anyway I reluctantly registered increasing my digital footprint and increasing the likelihood of more junk mail. So normal service has resumed? No, the perfectly fine and usable forum layout has been changed and is now cra? Progress? God help us from idiots who just cant leave things alone.
