The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Very strong rise here today. Speculation about a takeover bid after the Hargreaves Lansdown offer?
I think that's just a mistake Daffy. He's increasing his holding with each TR1. You don't buy that amount without knowing something.
SHAM,
The number of shares in issue in October 2021 were around 250m. By the time of the consolidation this year, there were 6 billion. Do you understand now?
A few years ago this went from 0.40p to around 4p in the space of a few trading sessions. I think there were around 250m shares in issue at that time so a quarter of what there is now. I'm not saying we'll 10 bag this time but we should see a decent rise at some point, assuming the funding comes through, of course.
Well done all who made money here today! I saw it at 2.6p and decided not to buy as it had already spiked from 1.9p. Great decision by me! lol Can't win them all! Hoping VAL investors have another good day tomorrow!
Good to see some confident buying. Should be back to the 0.30s and perhaps the 0.40s in the coming days and weeks.

I contacted Amigo and the company secretary, Nick Beal, replied with the following email:
Dear
Thank you for your questions. I have answered them under the following headings:
Mr McColl
We stated that, “The Board expects that Jim McColl will be formally appointed a non-executive Director of Amigo, once the new issue of shares, described below, has been completed.” That remains the Board’s expectation. In the meantime he is continuing to work for Amigo as a consultant looking at RTO opportunities. We did not state that Jim would be appointed immediately following the issue of new shares. We will update the market once any decision regarding changes to the Board have been made.
Shareholders
It is a shareholder’s responsibility to report significant holdings to the FCA and to us. When we receive a TR1, these are published as soon as reasonably practicable. We note that there have been TR1s published some time after the relevant interests had been acquired, but this is not as a result of a delay by Amigo. We don’t believe any single shareholder reached the reporting requirement as a result of the recent placement.
Regards
Nick Beal
Company Secretary
After some consolidation, as was to be expected, nice to see it moving up again. Free float must be getting smaller and smaller.

10% up in a week! Is this about to break £5 again?
Still no sign of JM becoming a director. No paperwork filed at companies house. We were told he would become a director once placing was complete. So what's the hold up?
Feeling very lucky to be in this stock right now. So many other companies where the SP is collapsing by the day because of poor communication or massively discounted placings (look at GDR today. Ouch!) This is just the beginning for HEX. Enjoy the rise all! It should be a memorable one! 🥂
It is really strange that HE1 buyers aren't buying here. I made a very handsome profit back in January on HE1, and now I've put a decent chunk of the profit in here. I agree, being attached to one share is a recipe for disaster. Always better to spread the risk. I missed the first rise of HE1 a few years ago when it went to 30p so glad I'm here now for this one.
I was stating a fact. No need for you to police every comment.
Then you've got a 3 month wait Baznick.
What a lovely day! Not just the weather but the price action has been incredible too! Well done on your profits if you've sold. I'm still holding for the big prize. Bought in at 11.35p. More than made back the money I lost on the ill-timed placing from GST lol

Weak US jobs figures could mean possible rate cuts coming. All FTSE stocks spiked massively.
Well done if you're still holding. I bought in at 11.35p and I'm holding on tight for the proper rise yet to come

Joined the party earlier! Good luck all! 🥳🎉
Just emailed LSE about the wrong details on this page.
Not irrelevant at all if you're sitting here watching your investment drop by the day for the next few months.
