The company hasn't made a profit in three years, has a "debt wall" used to finance expansion which isn't paying off, rumours are swirling about the upcoming refninancing and balance sheet concerns, the board are interested in feathering their nests with bonuses and jollies, and as a result, the share price has dropped by 93%. But all that is fake, and none of it bears negatively on the company.

Thoughts for the day:

1. The management have caused this predicament. Lack of forethought in how to maintain revenue and lack of discipline in controlling costs. Growth-no-matter-what doesn't seem to be a successful approach.

2. Shorts have played a blinder since 2021. Sensed the lack of good governance and rode this all the way to glory. The fact that they're still around and still happy to pay fees suggests more turmoil to come.

2. Shein ain't going away. Fantasising won't help. Too many vested interests. Boohoo have to adapt and overcome.

At no point have I ever defended Shein's use of toxic chemicals. I would love to understand how you've reached that conclusion.

The comment I made was that (interestingly), harmful chemicals lurk in commonly sold products - or at the very least, their packaging. Parabens, phthalates, formaldehyde, PTFE and its derivatives. The list could go on and on. So while you're all delivering a sermon about Shein, you're conveniently overlooking the naughtiness going on in the weekly shop. And while manufacturers are responsible enough to keep certain substances within legal limits, their long-term cumulative toxicity is scienfically proven and NOT regulated. God forbid I go further and suggest that tobacco, alcohol and take-aways might be detrimental in excess and over the long term.

Put that in your complaint dossier.

He tends to get all agitated whenever the thorny topic of Shein is brought up. His form of comfort is to retreat into fantasy, claiming that Shein will just disappear, and then often in the same post claim that they are welcome to IPO because the regulators will 'do the right thing'. And then on his bad days (lots of them), he gets all irate and blames it all on another forum user called Hexam.

It's an open forum. You are welcome to post. Don't let yourself be silenced least of all for asking a question.

Simon certainly appears to have upset a few of the outsized egos on here, merely by expressing an opinion. Of course, the board plod has never ever been known to make a mess of his numbers, so why should anyone else be given the benefit of the doubt?

Great to see the share price rocketing back up, just like they said it would. Drop was totally overdone, no reason for it, given the amazing value we have here.
