He does tend to lose control of himself, Spidey. Can't admit any weakness. Interestingly, he doesn't seem able to admit what his holding or average is. However, by using the wayback machine to analyse his highly abusive posting history form when he was trading4good, we can speculate that he's stuck in this with virtually everything riding on it, and his average is in the high 300s even after countless top-ups.

That US DC was operational from August 2023. According to tradey, PLT was the only brand operating out of the DC. They didn't even get as far as rolling out any other brands, according to tradey. So things must have been diabolical to pull the plug without even completing the brand roll-out.

Now, consider this: Since the Aug 2023 opening, there was a year of operating data on which to base decisions. Yet nothing concerning was said in the FY report about the DC performance.

So when did the management sense that the DC was going badly wrong? I do not believe that they looked at only this summer's Jun/Jul/Aug performance as the basis for closing the place. They must surely have looked at the entire year's performance with concern way before the summer, and what they saw concerned them so much that they shut it.

So that leaves potentially nine months (Aug 2023 to May 2024) where the performance was poor, yet they said nothing at FY. I can't help thinking that they knew in even May that things weren't good, and didn't say anything. And still tried to award themselves bonuses.

In all scenarios, the impression left is utterly horrendous.

So stop blaming manipulation! Do the decent thing and face up to the fact that the current management team are close to ruining the entire business. In it for themselves, just to eke out a few mor years salary and maybe a bonus, before administration comes.

If the management team wasn't so effective at running the business into the ground, there might be greater interest in buying its shares.

They board didn't just decide to pull the plug on the US DC based on a single bad month... I feel that they knew it for quite some time. That DC was operational since August 2023 ("Successful go-live of the group’s US distribution centre on time and on budget in August has transformed the delivery proposition for US customers,").

FY results were released in May, menaing the board had almost nine months of US DC operational performance data, which they appeared to have sidestepped in the FY report. Rather concerning that the underperformance was not mentioned in those results.

And knowing full well by May that the US DC was a bust or at least failing, they still tried to award themselves a bunch of bonuses. Disgusting, it really is.

Unfortunately tradey, your sheer arrogance prevents you from listening when being told. There's this thing you see, called the wayback machine (web.archive.org). Easily searchable, and provides various snapshots in time of your endless rants from when you were trading4good. Before you were banned, obviously.

Makes for interesting reading - drifts from disbelief at how much the share price is sinking, to endless howls of market manipulation, and let's not forget all the belittling, sniping and abuse of other forum members during your former tenure. Thirteen thousand posts by the time you were banned, easily a third of those being outright abuse of others.

Oh dear - wrong side of bed tradey? You seem rather wound-up and resentful about this entire situation, and positively gleeful at the wishful thinking suggested in the CNBC article. Not sure that pushing a sweater from $5 to $6 or a dress from $10 to $12 will make any difference at all. Wallowing in "Shein will just go away" fantasies as ever.

I agree with you, Ableton. Nothing wrong with adjusting course and for being responsive to changing circumstances. Except... Boohoo don't make money. Haven't done for years.

Someone on here recently coined the term "rags to riches and back to rags again". Summed up to absolute perfection.

A depressing Issa brothers company death spiral is playing out. Almost as comedic as it is depressing. A board whose sole interest is in looking after themselves. Decision after decision has been found to be naive, based on terribly flawed assumptions, poorly executed and even more poorly communicated. The management team will be delighted if they can eke two more years out of this, get a few more pay cheques, perhaps a bonus if lucky. There'll be some flash events, maybe another wedding, lots of insta lambo clips, a few more "collaborations". Just fluff. Then it'll be either a debt default leading to administration or taken out low-ball and broken up. The share price is wrecked because pretty much anyone with any sense is avoiding buying. A cautionary tale for all.

Tradey and boasty, you've got a lot of explaining to do. Pumped these facilites as the company's saviour, and each time, they're disbanded at a loss in the tens of millions a pop.

Tradey has spent years trying to downplay all bad news about the company. ANyone who dared to mention that the company was in a pickle was utterly denigrated by him. The abuse was staggering. Little wonder his previous alias was banned.

Same tactic being employed now to minimise the seriousness of the PLT plight.
