I wonder if we're about to be merged/taken over. Clear hints in the recent report and the recent jump in volume and SP would indicate something is in the offing. Can't be drilling success as we're not expecting anything.

we were basically told in the last report a placing was coming. Looks like they are doing the rounds cap in hand. Might get a ramp pre-placing for the insiders to pre-sell

......at the time the SP was around 50p (from memory) we made a nice touch on a discovery well by following the money. How times change, can say the company was in any better shape then than now. (Thanks triples if you ever look in)

Another buying spike, a good guy on here once told me to follow the money years ago. The money has consistently bought chunks of stock here in quiet times. I can be patient, the farm out was a great deal, totally de risked the play and got them out of the shlt

yep another good day. Does make you wonder whats going on. Apart from one workover there shouldn't be much in the pipeline, even that isn't expected to come online till next month. Given previous inability to meet deadlines I was expecting June at the earliest.

I'm in a similar position but we've far more chance recovering our losses as part of Ophir than going it alone. SMDR was drowning in debt, if the current oil price persisted we would have been in a lot of trouble. As the oil price recovers producers with no debt will be the first to benefit. Did you take advantage of the dip to 1.20? It was a crazy price, have sold most of what I bought at that price for a nice quick profit. The fundamentals and SP were so out of kilter it was an easy trade.

Should be ok I rekon, sounds a big loss but this will be over a quid again in no time with a bit of drilling and a recovery in the oil price. In at 45p myself, been watching for ages, nearly bought many times, luck more than judgement. Got plenty of other oilers way under water.

Another big volume day and a 10% rise. Buy and hold, no matter how unloved a share is value will always be bought. Maybe word is out ELA are finally going to meet operational targets, can't imagine you can keep a lid on news in Africa.
