I really don’t know mate to be perfectly honest with you!! I’m going to lose about £63k for my 15 years of investing in the share plan if it gets sold at 35p, but managed to buy a decent amount at 18p which will stem the blood flow if that makes sense.

Taking the share hat completely off, I’ve said it from the start and I think the 35p offer will be kicked into touch. That’s my personal opinion, but also not naive enough to think if the books are an absolute laugh riot, 35p might be the best available. But that’s my standpoint.

Ive spoken to a few of the lads in risk management and I’ve heard the phrase “others waiting in the wings” mentioned a little more than I’d care to hear. I think someone or others will enter the fray once the figures are released. Until then, I’m comfortable enough with whatever happens mate but would rather the company goes it along if that is in some way achievable.

Call it as I see it my man. I understand people are passionate about it on both sides. I’m with yourself on that side. Been with the company 15 years now, I know what it’s capable of and would like to see it navigate the tricky waters it finds itself in. But again, that’s dependant on the state of the books when they’re good to go.

Think tomorrow will be even more feisty, but from the latest town halls these people are experts at waffling past their allotted times to alleviate a protracted Q&A session, but should be fun viewing if I manage to get home from Shetland in time!!

I agree with the bonus comment. But they have honoured the 25’ annual increase which is something. Depending on your contract and client willingness, but we got our 4% backdated to the start of the year. Operations have been absolutely flying for the best part of 18 months of solid client deliverables and KPIs, don’t think wood would’ve stood a chance refusing the annual increases!!

Over the years though we used to get raises in line with inflation every January no questions asked. These days it almost feels like it’s between 2-4% and what will it be is the hot topic. They’ve always stood me in good stead through downturns/COVID etc so won’t bash them too much.

Alright chief, yeah just did a 2 week stint to help someone with their annual leave. I definitely don’t miss it truth be told.

I’d beam you’s all into the room tomorrow if I could, but will no doubt be under tight supervision with all the security on site. Will knock up a short summary of what take aways I get from tomorrow and you chaps can do whatever you want with that.

@JO just my personal opinion, it’s been back and forth incessantly for quite a bit to be fair. You’d honestly think one of yous would just give up. You clearly don’t agree on each others viewpoints so can understand why you’re arguing?

i’ll 100% be there. just finished 2 weeks offshore and getting off today and will be making an appearance tomorrow. may as well have front of centre seats and watch the ****roaches that lead our company squirm.

general sentiment from the office is that there’s going to be some real challenging questions being fired at them tomorrow. people in different divisions have knocked heads together and devised a list of must get asked and answered questions. lot of employees rightfully feel aggrieved by this all, so should be entertaining if anything.

i’ll try and report as much as i can take away from it tomorrow. these people will try and slip and slide away from answers so hopefully it’s moderated well and allows time for full and honest scrutiny.

It’s why I barely post anything on here at all now.

They can’t be anywhere near finalising a deal to be fair!! Latest comms states that they’ll be granted an extension to formalise an official offer by June 30th. Huge difference between offer and acceptance of offer with figures still not been published yet.

I’d like to see them try and force employees to not attend in person. That should be comedy in itself.

If you intend to attend the AGM, as advised on your Proxy Form, please bring your detached Proxy Form slip or Notice of Availability card and present this to the Registrar (“Equiniti”) at the registration desk in the SIWH Main Reception.

However, if you hold shares under a nominee account (such as the Company’s employee share plan held through Computershare), you will need to provide to Equiniti, a Letter of Representation from your stockbroker or nominee company that confirms you are the beneficial owner of the shares. Without this, you will not be permitted entry into the meeting. Please contact your stockbroker or nominee company to enquire as to how you may obtain a Letter of Representation

On registration, you will be directed to the designated area for the AGM on the ground floor.

Please note, in the event of exceptionally high attendance, and in order to ensure that all attendees are able to participate at the AGM, employee shareholders will be asked to participate in the meeting from the 3rd Floor Training Room, where there will be a live feed and the same facility through which you may ask your questions. The reason this overspill area will be designated for employee shareholders only is simply due to the logistics and security implications of third-party access to our building.

What you need to know ahead of Wood's Annual General Meeting.

John Wood Group PLC’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) for shareholders will take place at Sir Ian Wood House (SIWH) in the ground floor café area on Wednesday, 18 June 2025 at 14:00 BST.

Ahead of the event, as an employee normally based in SIWH, there are some important things for you to be aware of from a logistical and security perspective in order to minimise disruption to your day, and ensure the AGM runs smoothly and safely. This email also includes important information for employee shareholders who plan to attend.

Parking

The car parking area at the front of the building will be reserved for AGM attendees on 18 June.

Therefore, all employees and client representatives working from Sir Ian Wood House on this day should park their vehicle at the rear or multi-level car parks only.

The basement car park will be closed from 16:00 BST on Tuesday 17 June, returning to normal operation on Thursday 19 June.

Employees and visitors requiring the use of designated disabled car parking spaces at the front of the building should do so.

Building access

Main reception at SIWH will be reserved for AGM preparations, attendee registration and access all day on 18 June.

Therefore, all employees and client representatives will be required to enter and exit the building via the rear access doors.

Please note the internal access doors on the ground floor will be activated and, as such, you will be required to use your ID/Access card to gain entry to the ground floor areas.

Access to the Ground Floor South office area will be via the double glass security doors at the rear of the Café.

Access to the Ground Floor North office area will be via the double glass security doors opposite the IT TechConnect area.

There will be signage and security personnel to direct you to the right access points on the day.

Please kindly keep noise/distraction to a minimum in the ground floor areas while the AGM is proceeding.

Security

There will be additional security officers positioned at all building access points throughout the day.

All employees must display their ID/Access cards at all times, and will be required to swipe the door reader system at every point. As always, tailgating is not permitted.

ID/Access cards will be required to access the building. Please note there will be no temporary passes allocated on the day of the AGM.

Visitors

Where possible, all visitors should be restricted as far as possible on 18 June.

However, if it is necessary to host visitors at Sir Ian Wood House on 18 June, they must be pre-booked in Cloudbooking by their host in order to gain building access. If not, your meeting will need to be rescheduled.

Fire alarm procedures

The usual fire alarm test will not take place on 18 June.

It’s not minded to accept. It’s minded to recommend. There’s a world of difference between the two.

Minded to accept has never been mentioned at all. It’s his fiduciary responsibility to do what’s right to protect the long term future of the business, minded to recommend is nothing more than saying there’s a proposal on the table, it must be considered. Absolutely nothing more, there’s lots of other factors that could happen when the figures are released ie other bidders might come out of the shadows.
